The Cathedral of Baseball, Yankee Stadium...
A slice of heaven on earth. |
Wrigley is my favorite, and not just because I'm a North-sider. Where else do you feel so close to the action? No real parking is a pain, but it is a neighborhood ball park-what do you expect. The bars across the street are awesome. Try going to sluggers after 7 beers and hitting a fastball in the batting cages. Murphy's is a must go also. I'm in LA LA land now, and I think Dodger stadium sucks-no personality if you know what i mean.

Been to
Pac Bell in SF Jacobs Field in Cleveland Turner Field in Atlanta Astrodome in Houston Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta Turner Field gets my current nod since the tickets I get are next to visitors on deck circle front row. Do have to be careful with brew, can get beheaded when Smoltz is pitching to left hander with late swing. Went to Pac Bell in early August. Wore a long sleeve shirt and jeans. Got so damn cold I cold not drink another beer. Great stadium, just needs to be in warmer climate. As far as old stadiums, nothing could beat the 8th wonder of the world, the Astrodome. The coach of our little league team would take us to Houston each year for a game and you could see the Dome 20 miles away. This would allow for the anticipation to grow to fever pitch in a van load of 10-12 year olds. God bless our coach, those memories I will never forget. One day before I die or the owners/players kill MLB, I will spend a summer travelling to all the parks and watch a game. |
the jazz hit the nail right on the head
wirgely is just plain great |
I have only been to 2 major league parks, Qualcomm in S.D. and Bank One in Phoenix....I have to say Bank One kicks ass, I have also been to a AAA park in Tucson, and that was a great field also
|
Pac Bell park. There's not a bad seat in the house and no matter where you sit, you feel close to the action
|
Camden Yard. There is no bad seat in the entire place.

Camden yards or Fenway. There is nothing quite like a Red Sox - Yanks game at Fenway. Not a game to take your kids to. Well, unless you want to raise your kids the right way and teach them to throw batteries at criminals in pin stripes.
Camden Yards is a beautiful park and is great all around (great food, good service). Only thing missing now a days is a decent team. -alec |
Wrigley is great, but I still miss Tiger Stadium.

Well, after going to Wrigley on 8-2, I think it's a pretty awesome sports bar, that happens to have a baseball game going on. Great personality, love the ball park. Pick Wrigley over many others.

actually, the best minor league stadium is the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, home of the AA Round Rock Express.
