NBA playoffs
who are your favorites and wich team will win ?
1st Dallas 2nd Spurs 3rd LA but i'm afraid LA isn't ready for the playoffs, ok kobe and shaq are great, but 2 players can't win a championship title imo what do you guys / girls think ? |
Lakers! They can't be beat in a 7 game series.
|
Dallas - I like them, but I don't know if they can get past the West's top 3 - especially in a 7-game series (they've never one such a series against anyone).
From the regular season... Dallas V. LA Lakers: 1-3 Dallas V. Sacramento: 1-3 Dallas V. San Antonio: 2-2 The Vegas odds on the Kings are 2:1 to win it all, and that's who I'd go with. LA might be the overall best, but they have to play from a much harder spot in the bracket. |
Face it the Kings will win due to their depth. No other team can play 48 min, there are always great players out on the court for the kings. In the east, oh who cares, the east sucks
|
I'm picking the Suns because I always pick the Suns no matter how much logic argues against it.
|
I will pick the Spurs assuming David Robinson can hold up in the playoffs. No way the Mavericks win it with their crappy record against the elite teams in the West.
|
Mavs.
Kings Pistons |
Lakers
Spurs Magics |
hey, fearofmear... believe it or not, the Lakers have an even crappier record against the elite teams in the West.
I agree that the Mavs won't win. but, it's because they're not physical enough and they don't play good defense. |
LA and SPURS
|
one thing I know for sure, the NBA champion will come out of the west. Im picking the Lakers because I am a Laker fan (and have been for about 20 years), but honestly I will be surprised if they 4-peat. If the Lakers fall, it will be to the Kings.
|
Boy, what a game! What are the odds of Amare banking a 3 to tie it and Marbury banking one to win it after Duncan misses both free throws after getting rebounding a missed FT?
All that after playing a pretty horrible game. Hopefully the Suns can carry this momentum on into the rest of the series. |
I will admit basketball isn't my favorite sport to watch, but come playoff time it's great!
I would love to see the Sixers do well this year, and I am really looking forward to their first round game vs. the Hornets. In the West my only hope would be to see the Lakers out early. I am not a fan of them, but don't really have any favorite teans there either. |
First round I see a long one between Spurs and Suns. Kings will beat the lakers in the conference finals after LA beats KG and then the Spurs.
Anyone else wanna see a Kings - Pacers Finals? |

ahhhhhh i really want the magic to get past the 1st round...but man they havent been there since shaq was in town.
anyone but the lakers...i wanna see an eastern champ this year. yeah yeah..i know. |
go pacers
i dont have three :D |
If the Lakers and Spurs make it to the next round they would play each other. Even though that may not happen (see Suns Game 1 shocker), the winner of a Lakers/Spurs series is the eventual champion I think.
|
The Lakers are playing great ball. They'll keep winning championships until Shaq and Kobe split.
|
lakers absolutely shot the lights out against the wolves. sure, kg had a great game, but it just goes to show you that even when the other team is shooting well (50% from the field), it doesn't matter. the lakers will come out on top for this postseason just because they have 2 of the top 5 players in this league. sure, some may say that "the duo" won't score 71 combined every day. but hey, the sheer presence of o'neal in the middle is enough to bring fear to many and the omnipresent defense of kobe will always hassle the other team. also, the emergence of a high-energy bench (george, pargo, and rush, plus madsen... sometimes) only strengthens them. lakers over everybody.
|
Phil Jackson has said in a roundabout way that this Lakers team is better than the Bulls' team he won so many championships with.
Kobe at times looks like the heir to Jordan's throne, and the Bulls definitely never had the most dominant center since Wilt. |
The Lakers are on there way to making another champship year come true. I betting LA sweeps again and the T'wolves are out again in the first round...
Personally I want to see the Lakers and the Celtics in the final, but Boston's team has gone down hill b/c of some bad trades. I think its gonna be a repeat of last year, LA and the NJ. LA wins again. |
KINGS
Spurs lakers |
Lakers/Celtics final would be freakin awesome.
|
Suns all the way!!! (to round 2) ;)
|
Mavericks
Pistons Kings (all the way) The Mavericks are my favorite team. They will loose anyway. (Could someone send 3 lovely ladies to visit them? They need to remember how to shoot the 3.) I pick the Pistons to win in the East. It's all about their bench. Choosing the Kings over the Spurs to win the championship is difficult. The Kings have the depth to take the pain, though. Also, the Lakers should take the Spurs to 7, while the Mavericks won't make it past game 5. |

My favorites:
1) Kings 2) Lakers 3) Mavs (by a miracle) The Kings are HUNGRY. They have been anxious to reclaim the title that should have been theirs last year. I love how deep the Kings are. Man, watching them kill the Mavs 124-113 was just embarrasing! Although I don't know how they are gonna handle Shaq. |
