anyone else watching this right now? amazing match so far... Nadal blew his chances at Wimbledon glory in the 4th set tiebreaker there... up 5-2! and he lets it slip away...

and now the 5th set is anyone's game. i'm not much of a tennis player, nor do i watch much tennis, but i made it a point to get up to watch this to see these two players battle it out. not too often do you see this much talent being showcased.

i'm pulling for nadal. just 'cause.

Nadal had it at 2 sets, he had it again at 4 sets.

Both times he pissed it away.

We'll see - it's now 2 sets all, 2 games all, Duece.

It could be 4 games and over, or still need to play into tomorrow morning.

The Chairman of AELTC is on the TV now, saying he thinks it'll be back on in 15 minutes or so...

i think nadal will pull it off cos the pressure seems to be on federer.

not watching but keeping updated online.

im barracking for roger...just cause i like his game. he drifts across the court and you'd swear he was a ballerina and not a tennis player.

compare his game to say..thomas muster. i know hwo id rather watch play.

wow... what a beautiful game.

THAT is what you have to do to beat Roger Federer on grass. I didnt think Rafa could do it, but in the last set after missing the first championship points he just seemed to get stronger and stronger - Roger kept coming but he couldnt get the pressure on Rafa's serve and Rafa started to get on top of Roger's

What a great champion.

2-0 up, then back to 2-2... its all set up for heartbreaking defeat - but Rafa is just so strong mentally and physically - all through the game he hit so deep and powerfully, he matched Federer miracle winner for miracle winner, he didnt hit a lot of service winners but he served well enough that Federer could get close to a break all the same.

And then at the end he's standing there cradling the trophy as if it was his first born... and you think he's only 22 and he can still get better...

what a great match. easily the best tennis match i've ever seen. both deserved it, and both deserve all the applause in the world for the epic, truly amazing exhibition of tennis that i've seen in a while...

Best final I remember on Centre Court. Unhappy that Federer lost on some levels, but happy I called it last week!

Incredible win for Nadal, just outstanding. After essentially blowing a tiebreaker to win the match, he willed himself to victory in the 5th set. During a game in the 5th set where he was up 30-15 and a controversial 'let' call prevented him from going up 40-15, he had to fight off a break point to win that game. Great mental toughness. Despite not converting on two break points in a later game, he continued fight and took several of Federer's service games to Deuce. Here is a good article about

it was definately a great game! unfortunately i wasnt close to a TV so i was glued to a live update online.

sadly my laptop batteries died on the final match point. by that time i knew that federer was gone.

fair play to nadal. hes a deserved champion. ill be dowloading and watching the game just to say that i watched the greatest tennis match ever played.

kind of reminded me of the us open two weeks ago with tiger. two great tournaments

I am a tennis player and I can't believe I missed the match. I haven't watched much tennis in the last few years and I had never heard of Nadal before this Wimbledon. Grass is such a fast surface that it sure favors the hard hitting and serving player.
