Fantasy Football 2K8
Yahoo opened up leagues already, I made the Tilted Time league again.
Good league last year, would like all the usuals in it again if possible. PM me for information. If no one wants in again will open the registration information to all. No word from anyone but Donuts who is having trouble logging in, no one else made their information public to the league last year so I cannot use the tool to invite people from last season, so here goes the information. League size it set to 9 to allow me to hold a spot for Donuts since he has expressed interest, once he is ready I will bump it back up to the 10 so he can get in. In order to do that it has to be changed to points only, it will go back to a head to head league with 10. LEAGUE IS FULL IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS IN FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ME A PM AND IF SOMEONE DROPS BEFORE THE DRAFT I WILL INVITE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE

4 in
room for 6 more first come first served. Also just an fyi in your profile or maybe team options you can choose to hide your e-mail, if you do this then next year if someone starts the league they are not able to send an invite to you if you wanted in it again without hunting you down on here or posting. That is what I did, tried to send invites to everyone who was in the league last season and only 2 people had theirs viewable so I could only send out two invites with the league tools.

My problem was a change of email. There's a thread in Tilted Tech about my woes (sniff). I'll try to remain available this time 'round.

I'm in. "SCREAMING EAGLES" as always. Looking forward to a great season.
Glad to see we lost the Q.B. point per completion. That should fix the overweighted QB stats.

Just sign up. Its mostly luck. You just draft your players and hope for best. It doesn't require a ton of effort. Just enough time to keep track of injured players so you have a complete lineup each week. Its not rocket science, I'm sure you can handle it.

Yep, you just put your best players in the line up and hope for the other guys QB to have a down week. Worked well for me last season!

Training camp opened today. The Lions will still suck, but Williams and Johnson may take turns having decent games.
Time to start paying attention!

Situation normal.

You know what's great?
When you completely forget you have a draft, and have to work so it really doesn't matter anyway, and you check your team fearing the worst from the auto-draft...and it drafts a team possibly better then I could have myself.

Pretty decent team, I am disappointed in my RB but, have a feeling Forte won't do too badly and I'll find someone.... Hopefully Johnson's injury isn't too bad, with TJ hurting, Chad stands to pick up some really good pass yardage.

Well, I'll admit that I didn't really do any homework for the draft, but his numbers were so far and away better than ANY running back, that it seemed to make sense, especially since L.T. went as the #1 pick. I realize that a point per completion was part of the mix last year for QB, and not this year, but still. He tended to have 4 TD passes almost every game. The Pats retained all of their offensive players & Pro-Bowl offensive line, so why wouldn't he continue where he left off?
Now with the injury... meh...

And, hey, I would never take peterson; he's injury prone and not a very solid back. He hits home runs a lot, but in between it isn't as glamourous.

It looks like I got my "bounce back" week, but unfortunately, Montana didn't have a "drop off" week. I ran into the buzzsaws of Jay Cutler and whoever that other C. Johnson on Detroit is. Detroit??? Blah...

You can start with this week, Montana!
We're having some fun, now, eh? Wish the message board were a little more active, though... and the smack talk. We should encourage more voting for matchup winners. That's always fun as well.

I lost it this week, let the string of L's begin :P
I honestly, could not find the "Vote for winner" in week 1, but it has been there since so who knows. I know if you go to the top tab where it says managers, and you see someone who hasn't been on in a while shoot them an e-mail asking them to check in on their team or just talk a little smack.

Just bumping this this up to boast about my first TFP championship. It was a very enjoyable season. No one ran away with it and no one dropped out early unlike previous years.
I barely eked out a win over Donuts to keep him from sweeping the 2008 baseball and football leagues. Thanks to Grumpy for providing great weekly reports which put the Mon. morning QB stories to shame. There were truly some entertaining reports each week. I'm looking forward to the 09 baseball league. C ya.

Congratulations, Crewsor! How do you have the guts to play Thigpen in the championship? You've got big ones, pal!
Thanks for the setup, Montana! I had a lot of fun... until playoff time! Looking forward to next year! btw, for what it's worth, I posted a wrap-up of sorts.
