2008 Basketball Hall of Fame Inductees
The results were announced yesterday. Among the inductees are Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Pat Riley, and Dick Vitale (awesome, baby!).
Also inducted was Utah Jazz legend Adrian Dantley, women's college head coach Cathy Rush, and Pistons owner Bill Davidson. Notably absent from selection were Don Nelson, the second-winningest coach in NBA history behind Lenny Wilkens, and Golden State legend and current general manager Chris Mullin. All seven will be inducted into the hall of fame on September 5 in Springfield, Massachusets.

Simpson was on the shortlist but Cameron did not think that such a nice guy could be a ruthless killer. -From the Collector's Edition DVD of The Terminator |

with all due respects, i think players should take presedence over coaches in the hall of fame.
a team may not be much without a coach..but a coach is nothing without a team. in saying that, Pat Riley is a legend in his own right.
