I'm always so surprised about how absurd people are about their sports teams, until I'm in their position and I act like an asshole. Sports are sacred. Go spit cook.

I don't think it is okay to spit in a person's food. However...
The Steelers fan needs to use some logic. Sure it is a free country and he can wear whatever he wants and say almost anything he wants. He set himself up for something to happen by being in Seattle wearing a Steelers jersey and brining up a game in which the Seahawks were robbed by the referees. I'm surprised it was just some saliva. |

Well, I dont condone it... but the guy is pretty naive (sic) if this is a serious rivalry.
if I went out drinking in Ipswich town wearing a Norwich City top I would expect to be beaten up. Does that make violence ok - no of course not: but it would also be pretty stupid of me to place myself in that situation. And the cook would have been better off just refusing to serve the guy to be honest.

Seriously, this passes for rivalry in either Seattle or Pittsburgh? Christ, if I go into a restaurant on a non-game day wearing my Tennessee regalia in Georgia, Florida or Alabama (not to mention any other SEC school), I EXPECT to have a loogie in my food. I'd be ok on game day because we'd be considered invited guests, but if I walked into a restaurant with my orange shirt, hat and boots (if I were dressed up, that is), then I'm just inviting trouble.
I know people in Alabama that will take metamucil (sp?) before the drive north just so they can shit in Tennessee twice. I've read a story about two Alabama fans that missed their daughter's wedding because it was during the Alabama/Auburn game (which wasn't played for about 60 years by order of the governor because of fan violence). I won't wear a visor when I play golf because I hate Steve Spurrier that much. Yeah, the Seattle fan/cook is getting what he deserves by getting arrested, but otherwise, this is just amateur hour. Once again, the pro game is a pale comparision to the college game. Pig, you paying attention? I expect some sort of 'Cock story - perhaps about losing bowl eligibility?
