Congrats Boston fans.

The World Series, the Super Bowl, best record in the NBA (could be a championship there)..... all I can say is congrats and at least the Bruins still suck.

Thank you Pan for your congratulations. As usual, you always show a lot of class and true sportsmanship.

The World Series was quite the exciting one and your Indians gave us quite the run!! I look forward to more American League battles next spring.

The Pat's played hard and played some great football. They certainly exhibited the best teamwork example out there. I really like the Pat's system. Very team oriented. At least one of Ohio's teams had a pretty interesting season. The Browns, one of my faves, had a decent run. I may be biased cause I like Jamal Lewis and Kellen Winslow (I like workhorses) and Romeo Crennel is a Pats alumni. Your Bengals have a flashy team but I thought they would have done better. Injuries though. But man, that receiving corps *drool* And also Rudi Johnson stunk it up.

Man, I love the Celtics story. It's about time too. I'm just sorry Red ain't around to see it.

Thanks again for your well wishes.

You Boston fans deserve it this year. This is something cities with sports and their fans only dream of and you guys are pulling it off.

The only time I remember any city getting this close was Philly 1979-80: Started with the Eagles (who had a great year) losing the Super Bowl to the Raiders, the 76er's losing the NBA championship to the Lakers, the Phillies winning the World Series against KC, the Flyers won their Conference but lost in the Stanley Cup to the NY Islanders. ALL 4 TEAMS IN THEIR SPORTS BIGGEST GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (That maybe a trivia question someday that some radio station may kick out and you can remember and win.)

Then the next year each team made the playoffs again maybe not as far... the Eagles lose to the Giants in the Wildcard game, the Flyers have a similar fate losing to Quebec in the preliminary round, the 76ers lost to Boston in the Eastern Con. Finals, Phillies lost to the Expos in the strike shortened playoff series.

Afterward, the Eagles faded, the Phillies aged getting to the WS in 83, then nothing.... but the Flyers and 76ers maintained good teams throughout the 80's making the playoffs every year (even if only into the 1st round).

Only instead of Boston pulling only 1 of 4 champions.... they may very well be able to pull 3 of 4... sorry I just don't see your Bruins even making the playoffs unless big changes happen. GOOD LUCK, I am envious!!!!!!

My Cleveland teams (we have no NHL in Cleveland... Columbus but who cares)..... the 3 are preparing for huge runs... the Cavs with Lebron just need to get some players around him, the Browns had a tremendous year and I see Lerner going out and getting the missing pieces this year, the Tribe great pitching a true team in every sense and the extension signing of CC would be icing..... we are an up and coming sports town, believe it or not.... like it or not..... Cleveland ain't no joke anymore.

Thanks, Pan. It's a good time to be a sports fan in Boston. My only arguement is that the Bruins don't really suck. They aren't at the caliber of the other 3 teams, but if hockey season ended today, they would make the playoffs.

Growing up, I remember Boston teams having a fairly magical 1986. Pats in the Superbowl, Celtics winning the NBA title, Red Sox 1 out away from being champs. Of course, the Bruins (who don't really suck) were bounced out of the playoffs in the first round, so it doesn't quite measure up to the Philly team's season in 1979-1980. Still, not a bad showing.

Yep, Boston has it pretty good right now. I remember the stretch from '96 to '01 when Denver got two Super Bowls and two Stanley Cups and thinking how awesome that was, but that doesn't compare to what Boston has going for it now. Enjoy the ride.

Thank you Pan for your gracious congratulations. I think part of what makes this enjoyable is that there is a sentiment that while Boston has great teams on and off for years, they have also had terrible seasons in relatively recent memory. We can enjoy this because we have already paid our dues. I don't think anyone could reasonably thin that they deserve four trips to the Super Bowl in seven years or two World Series championships in four years, but there was a long time with 1-15 and 2-14 seasons and missing the MLB playoffs. Anyway, apart from everyone hating my favorite teams and the bandwagon jumpers, it's a very enjoyable time, so thanks.
