Hockey might be my favorite sport, but I have absolutely no interest in the draft....

Well considering the Red Wings only had 1 pick in the first 3 rounds, I think they did pretty well. They took a goalie for their first pick, which I didnt think they really needed. However, that is their draft policy, at least 1 goalie every draft. After that, I think they really concentrated on the 1 thing they lacked, and that is size. Only one of all their picks was under 6'0 and 180lbs. All in all, job well done.

Man ... the draft in the first 15 picks was really intresting ... but after that it was a joke ... politics and other variables come into play .. ruins it for everyone

I think that Detroit made a big mistake with a goalie...considering the rumors that Hasek may be coming back anyhow. On the other hand O'Sullivan (the guy who got beat by his dad in front of his grandparents) got drafted by the Wild in the 3rd round I think. He was actually projected to go 20th overall so I think MN lucked out witha good offensive pick...though the reason he was drafted so late is because many scouts were worried he may hve emotional problems due to his abusive past. I just hope he plays well and shows all the other teams that they shoudln't have passed him up!
