So, how 'bout them Giants?

Li'l Eli's all grown up!

ngdawg 01-13-2008 08:22 PM

And they didn't choke!!!! Might have to give up their "Choke Kings" crown....

Ilow 01-13-2008 09:08 PM

that's what 0 turnovers will do for you. They are a seriously banged up team heading to Green Bay though.

AssDust 01-13-2008 09:34 PM

The 'Boys played that game like they were asleep. Not that I'm complaining. I didn't want to see either #1 seed reach the Super Bowl.

TheClarkster 01-14-2008 12:27 AM

One team on a streak of crappy games, the other team finally finding their rhythm.
I kind of expected it, and hated it the whole second half through.
T.O. with zero catches the second half, Crayton dropping everything that came to him.
Ugh, my Boys gave the game away.

Jadedfox 01-14-2008 02:25 AM

I've been in love with the Giants since they showed me what they can do against NE in the last game of the regular season. Made some nice money betting on them in the playoffs so far too!

I don't think they'll beat GB in GB though, especially with that secondary all banged up and Favre playing some amazing football. Plus GB has a running game that is pretty damn good with some no-name guy they picked up off the street. I'm happy for Eli though and maybe he can play even better against GB.

This is why the Giants played hard through the Patriots game. This is why the Cowboys shouldn't have spent a week on vacation.

I don't expect them to get past Green Bay. My wife is, in a way, disappointed in how the Giants season is going; she HATES the coach, and wanted him fired at the end of this season and replaced.

QuasiMondo 01-14-2008 06:55 AM

So I see this on ESPN the next morning:

and the first thing that comes to mind is this:

Sorry Dallas fans, but I can't help but rub some salt in this one. I haven't liked T.O. since he hurled McNabb under the buss for the Eagles loss to the Pats in SB XXXIX

cameroncrazy822 01-14-2008 01:13 PM

Peyton who???

bubbaspike 01-14-2008 05:32 PM

Fucking New York Post put a Jessica Simpson look-a-like on the 50 yard line
behind the Cowboys bench. Assholes!

Cheat,Cheat, And try not to get beat

pointbock69 01-14-2008 09:52 PM

thats what the cowboys get for acting like they were going to the Superbowl from day 1. They were so proud after they beat the Packers telling us Packer fans how much we sucked, well, look who sucks now when it counts?

Yep! That would be the Cowgirls!!

Infinite_Loser 01-17-2008 01:30 PM

I don't think any fan of an NFC should be gloating, as you'll just end up being victims for the Pats .

thespian86 01-18-2008 12:31 AM

Hey, the nobody's name is Ryan Grant and he is an ex-giant. Can't wait for him to run up and down Lambeau on sunday. Go pack!

souzafone 01-18-2008 05:34 PM

I'm a Patriots fan first, but these Giants earned my respect with the way they played the Pats in what was really a meaningless game for them. Here's hoping for a rematch in the Super Bowl.

thespian86 01-18-2008 06:21 PM

I don't think hoping will win the game. You know what will? The Pack's talent.

QuasiMondo 01-18-2008 08:59 PM

Somebody at the local Green Bay station gets word that Eli's favorite TV show is Seinfeld, so to rattle him, they pulled the show off air for a week (no Seinfeld for you!) so he couldn't get watch any reruns.

In steps Jerry who sends him a complete DVD set of all seven seasons!

I wonder if there'll be another 'malfunction' of the heating coils underneath the field like there was in 1967...

The odds are in favor of GB, but a Giants win isn't out of the question, they're a good team and when they get their game together they can play at a high level.

QuasiMondo 01-20-2008 04:24 PM

Ha! Tricky packers... Pam Oliver is reporting that the heated benches for Giants aren't working.

Yes!!!!!!!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't pull a Scott Norwood......

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not again......

Whoooooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo

host 01-20-2008 07:19 PM

and the Giants WIN !!!! 23 to 20 in OT with a 47 yard field goal. On to the superbowl in AZ !

Fotzlid 01-20-2008 07:23 PM

i'm happy with the Giants win. was hoping for a Pats/Giants rematch from week 16.
now to see how much its going to cost me to get Super Bowl sunday off...

Craven Morehead 01-20-2008 07:47 PM

Impressive win. Congrats to the Giants.

pointbock69 01-20-2008 10:43 PM

wow - there they are in the Superbowl, being a Packer fan I am extremely depressed, but what can you do, the Giants just simply played BETTER. More power to them, go Giants. Number 17 is a big man on fire!

pixelbend 01-21-2008 08:01 AM

Congrats G-Men. I am a fellow bummed-out Packers fan, but we got out played. Now go beat the crap out of the Pats for us!

Halx 01-21-2008 08:09 AM

What a tough game. That weather just made everyone look bad. Someone had to walk away the winner and it happened to be the team that gave itself more chances to win.

thespian86 01-21-2008 09:18 AM

Yeah, I, being a huge pack fan, am having a bad day.

jorgelito 01-21-2008 01:02 PM

Good job Giants, I was rooting for Favre and the Packers like the rest of America but you got to hand it to the G-men. Congratulations!

Leto 01-21-2008 01:10 PM

Congrats to the Giants! The game looked brutal. That turf must have been like concrete.

Me too...

Jadedfox 01-22-2008 01:43 AM

This just in: The Packers still suck!

Go Bears!

NO, Eli is not grown up...he's been put up on this throne lately. He'll never ever be as good as his brother. Yes, he has played well lately, however you have to look at the past. Even during college he went through hot streaks. Last year, towards the middle of the season he picked it up, but then choked in the end. Now, the "G-Men" are on THE WORLD'S GREATEST STAGE, and Eli is gonna have to try throwing the ball without his hands around his neck. Call me pessimistic, but I'm just saying that he's way overrated.
