Albert Pujols!!!

This is the best position player in the MLB right now....leading the league in batting average, slugging, and 2nd in OPS. 1st in NL in RBI's and a threat for the Triple Crown. All this in just his 3rd year

And the best bargain in the league. He makes just 800K+ a year.

He plays multiple positions.

Tony LaRussa says he may be the best he's ever managed.

He has a good eye.

And they say he's a nice guy, too.

This guy is a stud. He can just flat out play ball.

12 triples in 60 games. Unbelievable.

You MUST have him on your roto team, if you play fantasy baseball. His versatility and ridiculous stats make him a necessity. I drafted him first overall.

Delgado isn't have too bad of a season either. Sheffield is up there too. But I agree, Pujols is a stud b/c he is able to play 2-3 different positions.

I drafted Schilling with my 1st pick (5th overall). The biggest steal for me was getting Kevin Brown in something like the 13th or 14th round.

hehe I got Pujols on free agency in one league! Dumbass. I picked him with my first round pick in another. I knew he was great, I didn't know he was gonna be that great! I have him at third because theirs more depth at the other positions.

Edgar Renteria deserves alot of credit this year too. He's having a good season and if Pujols wasn't catching all the hype he'd be getting alot of it.

yes, pujols is great, and he started pretty young too, he's only 23.
And edgar suddenly seemed to catch on in the middle of last year, he kicks ass as well.

The Cardinals have a good shot of winning the whole thing this year. They have their closer back now (Izzy). They need Rolen to be healthy. But they have the Pitching and Hitting to go far.

And who cares if he really is older than he says. I'm just hoping the Cards lock him up for years and years. I see him as the Cardinals first baseman for the next 10 to 12 years once we can rid ourselves of Tino and his contract (damn you Tony LaRussa!)

Pujols is a stud! And to think he came out of community college. That's some good scouting by the Cards.

He is leading the National League in almost every single offensive category. If he does not start the All-Star game it will be a travesty. He is on pace for the MVP and has a chance for the Triple Crown and .400.

pujols is the SECOND best position player in the league..
soriano is the best..
what seperates pujols and soriano is soriano's speed and basestealing..

And the Royals let him get away. He went to school near KC and they have taken alot of heat fro not spending atleast a late round pick on a "local" talent. But, it's not like he did not put up some fantastic numbers though. He was a phenomenal Juco player from what I've heard.

I only wish more people appreciated him...he's 4th in the All-Star vote--at least the last time I looked...that sucks!

No shit! Is that a disgrace or what! Can there be a better example for why the fans should not be allowed to vote for the all-star game than that? Oh wait, Hideki Matsui is 2nd in voting for the AL Outfield.

But come on! Corky Sosa over Pujols?!

What seperates Soriano and Pujols is that Pujols is batting .381 (during a cold streak), and that Pujols has only struck out 26 times. How many times has Soriano whiffed?

I agree. Soriano has speed, but he is not a good hitter. YEs, he hits for a good average, but his OBP is not much higher than his BA. Also, a leadoff hitter should be working the pitcher. I realize Soriano has hit other than leadoff this year, but still he's a hacker with good bat control and not a good hitter. There is a distinction between the two. Soriano is more prone to streakiness because of his approach and that is a major reason I think Pujols is better.

Pujols has no natural position. I do however agree he is an AWESOME hitter tho

Pujols has no natural position?
Third base: He palyed third but switched to left field so we could land Scott Rolen. When Tino finally leaves St. Louis and his 7 million a year for nothing Pujols will land at first base for the rest of his career.

it's unfortunate that pujols is a franchise player. He'd been an excellent addition to the Braves. He can have Vinny Castilla's spot. that would be an awesome team, Pujols will be a legend.

Meaning that Rolen is a better thirdbaseman if Pujols had to switch positions. And its sad, but (for alot of teams) first base in the pro's is like the right field in little league, hide your weakest defensive player there

They're about equal skill wise, however, Pujols can play other positions, Rolen can't.

It'd be better to keep Pujols in left and put Chipper back at third, should never have moved him to begin with.

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"
