If falling on your ass means skating then yeah I skate Why do I do it? umm because I just always have since I was about 7. I'm skating a tom penny flip board right now it has some good pop. I'm not that great but it helps get rid of stress and frustration.

Used to skate, from 1983-ish to late 90's. Skated all the goddamned time; when winter came we'd skate underground garages... got pretty good at it.
But I busted my arm pretty bad. Then a year later I busted my wrist (same arm). I play guitar, and I kinda decided that I didn't want to screw that up with a cruddy arm, so I quit skating. Plus I couldn't really work out tricks and shit while being worried about falling on that same, stupid arm. It was depressing. Oh well. |

I've been skateboarding for 2 or 3 years. I've skated a blind, girl, and right now im skatin and anti-hero. I went to an adio shoes skate demo 2 summers ago and got autographs from: Jeremy Wray, Vinny Vegas, and some others. It was one of the coolest things ever.
Whats everyone's favorite pro team? I'm torn between Flip and Shorty's, however element is starting to grow on me.

I'm with kurtisj on this one. We haev been skating together ever since he started. I started a little earlier than he did but i'm not saying i'm better than he is. I've had a birdhouse, blind, and a brand new element. It's a bam board and its the shit. I think the whole reason I started was because it just looked like something that would challenge me and it looked fun as hell to be honest with you. It took me 6 months to learn to ollie cuz i had nobody to teach me how. Now I have an ollie thats roughly 2 and a half to 3 feet high with my new board.

hey there used to skate but got old, i'm 26.
not that getting old is a good reason to stop...just that i got fed up with kids thinking i must be a pro when i turned up at skate spots...still snowboard loads though and still skate after a couple of pints and whenever i meet up with my old skating pals. skating seems to be a bit shite now compared to ten years or so ago. too many people with all the gear and boards that look like they have never been skated, too much ego and far far too much cool.
