US Open

So with Tiger only down by 2 shots and playing in the final group - Does he pull out a victory?

Is there a doubt? He's the only one to put pressure on you without even teeing it up. He wins by 3.

Ha, ha! Tiger loses.

Tiger has never come from behind on the final day to win a major, I don't think. It's the big asterisk on his record.

perhaps you could explain your hatred for Tiger a bit more.

You do have to take into account that his wife delivered their first child almost immediately after the tournament ended.

Well, that accounts for this time.

What about all the other times he was within striking distance going in to Sunday and couldn't get the job done?

Of course, Tiger is a great player but looking at things in the cool light of day, he's only ever been a front runner. He needs to win a major or two coming from behind a la Jack to get the mantle of "greatest" IMO.

*if* tiger had played like he did on Saturday he would have won easily. I'm sure he had a lot on his mind considering it was Father's Day etc, but he's a pro. He should know how to put those thoughts to the back of his mind and win.

I think the turning point was when he pulled the driver out of the bag on that short par 4. He didn't need driver.. with his length a 3 wood would have been more than enough.

Either way, He'll end up smashing Jack's record.

I figured on him playing like he did on Sat. He did make a few more mental errors in this tourney than normal.
