i love stadiums and i honestly try everytime its possible wherever i am to go to one just to experience it

to me, experience is the ultimate thing..

you can read 10,000 pages of books but the experience of 1000 miles outdoes it all

The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field has the best homefield advantage of all.

I've got to put my money on Fenway. All the history, and such a great place to see a game. No seat is a bad seat. (esp. when you are 6 rows from homeplate!)

The best in my opinion would have to be the mighty MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) Now holds 100,000 people after the recent redevelopment including state of the art changing rooms, cricket and football training facilities, will soon have one of the biggest sporting museums in the world and can hold sports such as soccer, aussie rules football, cricket of course, rugby league and union, baseball (it has happened), athletics and others.

Historically the ground has been very significant
- This place is the home of the first ever Cricket test match
-The home of Australian Rules football, the AFL (australian football league) is the biggest sporting league in australia and on average gets 36,000 people per game. MCG is the home ground to 4 of these teams and every weekend has 2-3 games. Has held the grand final all but one year which every year sells out.
- Has held an Olympic games in 1956
- Recently held the most sucessful commonwealth games ever
- Has the record for the biggest crowd for a cricket test match, the boxing day test is held every year starting on boxing day and usually gets 75,000 to the first day, this year they expect the first day atleast to sell out (about 99,000)
- The biggest crowd for a baseball match was held here during the 1956 olympics for a exhibition match, and baseball is a very small spot on the sporting radar in australia which adds to the significance
- Held concerts (the three tenors and others), the pope held mass here nad many other events
- has held australian soccer world cup qualifiers including against iran and uruguay and is now the home of australian soccer matches ahead of stadium australia.

MLG was awful, abyssmal. Worst, most uncomfortable seats ever constructed, IMO.

Most of the new arenas are better than their predecessors, IMO.

Anyone that discusses baseball parks and doesn't put Oriole Park at Camden Yards in their top 2-3 at least does not know what they are talking about.

No one has mentioned the Arizona Cardinals new stadium? Coolest building E-V-E-R.

The new Cardinals Stadium will be open in time for the 2006 season. The world-class venue will not only feature a retractable roof but will also be the first in North America to feature a fully retractable grass playing surface.
How the stadium will look with the mobile pitch outside the arena.

You just have to read it for yourself. http://www.sportsvenue-technology.co...ona_cardinals/

They've a show on the Discovery Channel about it, and it might be the most amazing building ever. At least to this point...

Telstra Stadium vs Telstra Dome

Just note... Telstra Stadium and Telstra Dome are different places.

There may be some scope for confusion here. (It caught me out) The stadium was built for the Olympics (in the state of NSW). The "dome" was built in the state of VIC.

The former mainly hosts rugby, the latter is used for Australian Rules Football. Aust. rules requires a larger ground.
