Quote:
texas is back in the world series as the defending natl champions and they have a good chance at doing it again. they just knocked off #1 flordia state in 2 straight games (best out of 3) and they're goin all the way!!!

i hate to say it ( dont know why i hate the horns) but i agree. texas is going to win. Of course the only reason i think this is because they knocked off Florida State in 2 straight. Shouldnt they be able to beat any of the other teams?

All I know is I watched two of the lousiest games as Ohio State when down in flames last weekend to SW Missouri. Ohio State played like a bunch of little leaguers.
I'll pick LSU as my winner. They got alot of scoring capabilites, and pretty solid arms. Texas and Miami are solid squads. |

Hard for me to support the Horns, but they seem to have gotten hot at the right time. Looks like a REEEPEEAAT to me. I'll also give a consolation vote to the good ole Rice Owls. It would be fun to see them do well. The old SW conference would have had some crowing rights this year, with UT and Rice in the Series and A&M and Baylor is the Super Regional.

Being from the hometown of the CWS , i usually root for the underdogs, can't do that this year as it is SMS upset the Huskers in the regional. So i am going to have to go with Cal State Fullerton.

It's a shame about LSU, but I watched the elimination game - with all their talent they didn't deserve to win. And South Carolina is no good.
I'm gonna say watch out for Rice. They have two aces and some nice relief pitching. Only problem is, they can't score much. Look for a great game tonite - we know who you'll be rooting for, Dude. I have also been impressed by CSF, Fellows. So, with LSU goin back where they came from, I jump on the Rice paddywagon. |

god damn this.
texas got their ass raped by rice, 12-2. can it get any weaker?? btw, texas was gettin a lil too cocky w/ thier recent high profile wins. anyway, they're still gonna win the championship

The Omaha World Herald just took a poll today:
Three teams remain in contention for a College World Series crown. Who's your pick? · Cal State Fullerton 52 · Rice 191 · Stanford 46 I picked Rice. Go me!! (even before the Longhorns got "hooked") Sorry The_Dude. Gotta calls 'em as I sees 'em.

Looks like the hookers got hooked.
I watched the game last nite. It was great - came down to the bottom of the ninth. Either team could have prevailed. I've seen both Stanford and Cal State play. Neither is as good as Rice or Texas. But that's the way the draw works sometimes. |
