Elysian Fields Quarterly
I recently discovered this quarterly online, and figured it might be of interest to some of you.
I am a pretty avid reader, and Elysian Fields Quarterly appears to be a literary quarterly, with baseball as the focus. For me, it's an ideal combination, and one I would have considered highly unlikely combination, prior to discovering their website. The fact that baseball periodicals are next to non-existent since Baseball Weekly expanded into football and NASCAR (worst publishing move ever IMO), makes Elysian Fields even more attractive to me. The blurb on their website has the following write-up on their publication: Quote:
Lastly, you likely won't find this in bookstores, as it's not a mainstream publication. Instead, I'd recommend ordering a copy of the current issue online if interested. That can be done HERE. If you do end up checking this out, I'd be interested to hear your fedback or comments. I just came across the site earlier and ordered their current (fall) issue. You can view a large portion of the current issue by clicking the link on their navigation bar to the left; though I prefer reading on paper as opposed to computer screens. It is a good way to get an idea of whether you would be interested in the publication or not. It is $7.95 to order an issue, which is reasonable, considering it's 90+ pages and only released four times a year. I'll be leaving my feedback when the issue I ordered arrives.

I haven't read anything yet, but snooping around the site, it looks very interesting.
Thanks for the heads-up.
