Am I the ONLY ONE in the WORLD excited about Favre's return?

I don't care how many things I have to steal to afford it, I WILL see a playoff game @ Lambeau with Favre at the helm. w00t.

I'm pumped, with Favre at the helm my Viqueens have one less advisary to worry about in the NFC North.

*scoffs* as if the vikings have a chance.

I'm excited.

Look at the injuries the Packers suffered early last year: Javon Walker, Robert Ferguson, Ahman Green, Najeh Davenport, Tony Fisher, Na'il Diggs.

Favre didn't have many targets, which led to the increase in interceptions. With our best running backs out, the defense could concentrate on the pass anyway.

I thought the defense ended the year pretty well.

Add AJ Hawk, Abdul Hodge, and Charles Woodson to the mix and we might have a good defense.

As long as everybody stays healthy we should be in pretty good shape.

I agree Jeff... just a hard luck season combined with the obvious age factor of Favre. Even still, he finished 3rd in most important passer categories in the NFC, all except interceptions... *sigh*

yes I'm excited for his return... Because since they're playing in Seattle I can see him play at least once before he retires.

The Lions have potential, but hasn't that been said for the last several years? Can Brad Johnson stay healthy and competitive all year? The Bear's defense and Thomas Jones need to be great again, because they will have to grind out victories again with Grossman taking snaps.

Favre has had a winning season every year with the Packers except for last year. As stated above, there were excessive injuries to the offense, but the packers still competed and lost a lot of close games. Losing Walker will hurt though; he and Driver were a great tandem.

I'm glad to see Favre back, its not like he is 40 years old and hanging on. He still has a cannon, and he has always been interception prone, so I'm not buying that last years 29 picks was a result of him being done. I haven't seen a significant drop in his ability, I would still be worried if he was playing against my team and had the ball for the final drive. In addition, Rodgers isn't ready to step in.

I totally agree. Favre's style has always caused a handful of interceptions, so with all things considered last year, his increased INT count was in no way indicative of him losing ability. I think Favre will bounce back great this year barring another injury-riddled season.


And I'm much more a Favre fan than a Packer fan, but for all the cheeseheads, I hope Favre sticks around for more than just this season, because Rodgers will never pan out. He was a successful college QB, but almost all the other QBs who came from the same system (under coach Jeff Tedford) have ended up being NFL busts.

I really could care less about his return. He's selfish and to be quite frank is well past his prime. He throws WAY toooooo many interceptions. His decision making process has been skewed by him believing he can make any throw at any time under any circumstance. Hence the interceptions and losses pile up. He's a hall of famer to be sure but lately he's been very inconsistent and for his standards subpar. I hope he turns it around this year but I wouldn't be surprised to see either a repeat performance of last year or even worse.

Yeah, I'm pumped about Favre coming back. I don't ever want to see him retire, although I know he must eventually. He is just so damn badass.

And yeah, I don't blame him at all for last year's debacle of a season. All the reasons have already been noted, so I don't want to rehash them. The fact is that he's one of the best QB's to ever play the game, and he will be a factor until he does decide to retire.

Get em Brett!!
