Bynum vs. SHAQ
If didn't watch the Laker/Heat game last night you missed probably the best 15 seconds of any game I've watched this year.
When 17 year old Bynum was drafted he compared himself to shaq except he said "but I can make my freethrows." So you knew Shaq was waiting to teach him a lesson. Bynum comes in the game at the end of the first half. Shaq posts him up and BAM drops a dunk on him so hard that Bynum falls down like a flipped turtle. My friend and I are like "DAMN" then the kid races down court and SHOWS SHAQ a huge pair of balls. He calls for the Ball! Can you believe the nerve of the kid- and the Lakers actually throw it to him. Before you can even think "Shaq's gonna reject him so hard" the kid pulls a drop step spin move that would've made Worthy proud and dunks it home. On the the couch we've moved to the OH SHIT! level. It gets better. Bynum goes down court and gives the big anger a good shove with his elbow and Shaq loses it and tosses a huge elbow at Bynum's head. Then they have to be separated. It was great to see a Laker besides Kobe play with some anger and passion. The only mistake made is that I would've put Bynum back out at the beginning of the second half and seen if the kid could've provoked Shaq to foul out quickly. Good stuff. |
Shaq didnt post him up to score his dunk at all, Bynum had him boxed out going for a rebound but was obviously not strong enough, shaq jumped grabbed the rebound and dunked right over bynum. No post up there! Bynums response was classic tho!

15 seconds of gameplay and people already want to compare Bynum to Shaq.
That's either unbelievably amazing or unbelievably stupid. |
