I dont remember when I lost my virginity.
 

We hear people talk about how the first time is special. Some people say that they wished they saved themselves for that special someone. I was writing a responce to such a post when I realized that I don't remember how I lost my virginity. Infact I don't remember any of my "firsts" when it comes to sexual encounters accept for my very first move on a girl.

However I do remember all the best experiences.

I can also recall of my worst sexual encounter.

Anyone else like this?

And no it's not a result of drinking or other substances. I manage to remember other things just fine. I just never cared for the nostalgia of "firsts". So things like lossing the Big V were never a big deal to me. Infact I can perfectly recall my line of thinking before my first time. After reading several books on sex I was really excited and thinking about all the possibilites. So the first time was like a small stepping stone for me.

I guess I wrote this post because I give advice every now and then to people in life and on forums, and I wan't to be considerate of other points of view.

Haha, I can't really remember what happened in my first time either. I just remember feeling uncomfortable and intoxicated. But I don't get how you forgot if you were sober.

Had to post here because I, too, only vaguely remember "my first time." I was entirely sober (and honestly don't think I would've done it the first time any other way) and just ready for it. The first time was in high school just as I turned 17 and, as I think of it now, it blurs with the other sexual encounters I had with my ex. In any case, I do remember that it was awkward and not very good (esp. because it was her first time, too).

I don't understand how you can remember the lead-up to your first time and not the deed itself.

Anyway, I remember my first time, although the details are a bit hazy. We weren't drunk, just, um.. excited. It was all-night sex. I find that in those instances I tend not to remember the details, just the night of really amazing sex. I can't even tell you how many times we had sex, although I'm sure the number of times I had sex with my current girl on the first night we did the nasty eclipses it by a fair bit. As for that number, well.. I've previously said it here but I'm not sure if people took it seriously. It's a 'you wouldn't believe me if I told you' sort of number.

The real question is - Do you really want to remember? usually the first time isnt a lot of fun. Sometimes i wish i didnt remember my first few times for that reason, it was so anti-climatic and non-chalant.

I wish I didn't remember my first time. It was rather tawdry and involved a lot of discomfort and washing machines.

I don't remember it for the nostalgia or to mark "the first" rather I remember it as a valuable lesson learned.

I can imagine alcohol playing a role in sexual encounters leads to loss of memory, but for me, I'll always remember my first time... just cemented in my memory, I guess.
