In fact, that is my exact fee for doing the above list of things. My wife would be in a huge amount of debt if it wasn't for a "list of husbandly duties" contract I signed a few years ago!

Well, I may be somewhat qualified to speak about this, because I have bought my wife a Sybian. I have a few things to say about it. (I didn't answer the poll since I'm not a lady).

First, those who say you can do the same job with a $10 vibrator don't know what they are talking about. Standard vibrator orgasms are quite nice (so I'm told). Sybian orgasms are profound, prolonged, earth-shattering...and just about any other superlative you could apply to them. Granted I am male and haven't experienced this myself, but I've observed it first hand and it's just unbelievable the reactions she has. It makes me wish I could be a woman for a few minutes so I could try it myself!

Second, we have used all the attachments at the highest setting without damaging her body in any way. I can understand being skittish about getting on one if you never have before - my wife surely was, but she got over that in a hurry. Also, she is a very value-conscious woman. When I surprised her with it I asked her to try it once - if she didn't like it or didn't think it was worth the money, we'd return it immediately (the Sybian folks do allow for this within a couple of months or so, if I remember right. You do have to pay a fee - about $90 last time I checked). She never said a word about returning it after she tried it the first time. One thing she mentioned was how relaxed she feels after a Sybian session. She compared it to the feeling she gets after having an hour-long professional massage.

We don't use it all the time - maybe once a month or so. Generally we only get it out when the kids are away at Grandma's or something - mostly due to the sound of the thing, as someone correctly compared to an airplane engine. Yes, it's very, very loud. Probably not appropriate for apartment dwellers.

Anyway, I'd be glad to answer any questions anyone has, and if you want the female perspective I might be able to get her to answer. For now I will just say: I have seen my wife have many orgasms in various ways, and in terms of sheer intensity, absolutely nothing compares to those she has on the Sybian. Am I threatened by this? Hell no! She still wants to have sex with me, and nothing turns me on like seeing her get off the way she does on our Sybian.

I will say that I have heard that some women try the thing and just don't like it, but that's to be expected with anything. I'd say if you've got the money and have tried and enjoy other sex toys, give it a shot. You might just be surprised.

Is it dishwasher safe?

The thing is the size of an automan. So, no.

I'm sure the phallic part of it detaches for cleaning, though.

It looks like a electric shock torture device from the 1930's, so NO, I don't want one.

Give my hubby enough sugar and caffeine and I'm sure he could do the same job.

Yes, you can take the attachments off and they are dishwasher safe.

reminds me of the sex-toys in the airport thread... imagine trying to carry one of those on a plane!

as for the sybian, i've heard it in use on Howard Stern on Sirius radio, they bring in famous and hot girls and let them ride it and orgasm for the listeners... it's soo not FM anymore... but thats a different story!! as for me buying it for a mate, i don't quite think soo... i dont want to be second place to any toy, expecially one i wasted money on!, maybe if i wasgoing away for a long business trip, yes, but otherwise, no.

You crack me up! I was laughing out loud. Thanks mal, I needed that.

You guys are all nuts, I love it! I feel right at home.

HiWayMan 02-28-2006 07:39 AM

I've also heard that it can provide massive anal orgasms. Both male and female. Just a thought.

serlindsipity 02-28-2006 08:41 AM

i think im not alone when i admit im a cheapskate when it comes to sex toys. $1300 and half a room of crap will never substitute my hand or a guy i can kick out in the morning.

lazygirl 03-11-2006 03:31 PM

ooh yeah! I'd at least be willing to try one out

Sharon 03-25-2006 05:12 PM

Wow, I want one NOW! I'm just thinking the best way to use it would be to sit on it, and have a guy kiss you all over, or for you to service him. :)

Try me. :icare:

I think that presentation would have a lot to do with it too. She ^^ doesn't want one in my case, so it is not an issue. If you are giving it to her as an excuse for not having to please her yourself, then it probably wouldn't go over well. If you have talked about it, it is something that she wants, and you give it to her with the idea of sharing the experience that it is going to bring to her, then it could work well.

I'm trying to think of the male equivalent as I am writing this. Say the wife bought you a RealDoll (one of those realistic, full-sized love dolls) for your pleasure. If she just gave it to you like, "Here is this thing for you to use, cause I sure don't want to work you over any more." It would be very different than her saying, "Here is a sexy present from me, something that I want to use with you to explore your sexuality and increase our pleasure."
