Are american men honest
 

I am from Italy and now in America. The American men want to fuck the women but then they do not respect them. They are very dishonest to take something and not appreciate it. Is it not a good thing for the girl to do?

I rarely lie, espically to women (and NEVER to my wife). When I was dating, I never lied to my girlfriends. None of my friends lie to their girlfriends or wives. I suppose a majority of men in general, not just in America, lie often because of insecurities and bad habits, but that hardly means that ALL men are dishonest and disrespectful. The idea that all men will do ANYTHING to get in a woman's pants, even if that includes terrible things, is a stereotype. The statistic that says that men think about sex every 5 seconds is a myth, there is no such study (at least that has any scientific merrit). You are probably looking in the wrong places. Seriously. Depending on your age location, and needs, there are a plethera of places to find good people.

Where are you finding these guys, where do you live, and how old are you?

It's just like crime, you know where it happens, so don't go there if you don't want to participate.

Like willravel, I rarely lie, especially to my wife. I think that notes the pattern. If I were playing like I used to, then you would find me at the nightclub where I would lie.

That's a pretty big blanket statement to make about American men. I'd say to rethink your opinion of American guys before making a decision.

I, too, wonder if this is a real post.

I have seen alot of that stuff on TV.. And that is just that... it's on tv. That means that it makes most men look bad even if they don't act like those characters, and it makes young impressionable minds think it is the way you should act. I don't think American men mistreat women on a whole, I know of many cases of the opposite.

I feel that the female human is the greatest of all God's creations. She is perfect in form and functionality. Well, almost perfect, there are issues that woman have to live with that are very hard and frustrating. But I feel that the female form is the most beautiful work of art, woman are naturally kind and loving, and that woman should be respected and treated the best they can. (Not to spoil them though. A spoilt woman is perhaps the worst thing that can happen.)
I am an artist. (not a perv). I prefer drawing the female form than any other (although the male form is also a work of art). I see women as the masterpiece of a brilliant artist, living art that needs to be respected and cared for, independant but supported.
(I am a hopeless romantic at time...) :-P

It's not men who act like that it's boys. And boys can be found on every continent of the world -- probably universe. Girls allow themselves to be treated that way and put up with that crap. Women move on and find men.

My thoughts exactly. I know a few boys who act in that manner, and I don't associate with them. They act like that not only in their relationships, but in all aspects of their lives. Not all members of humanity are worth more than their weight in fertilizer.

Hmmm You're talking to an expert on that whole agenda. See guys are out for us nice girls who fall for them. All I can say is... You can never be too picky!! Watch out for the jerks. Theres alot of them, but theres also alot of sweethearts who will treat you like a princess. I found that guys from other countries are way more respectful to women... I had a pretty good encounter in Costa Rica... Yummy! :)

If you don't mind me being rather forward for a moment, prehaps you should look within yourself to see what it is that attracts disrespectful, dishonest men to you.

Talk to women from different countries, many will say the polar opposite. An Aussi friend of mine loves American men because they actually treat her well through the small things (like holding doors open, etc).

Considering the original poster's message, I'd like to state that there's a very distinct difference between respect and honesty. A man might not respect a woman, and treat her poorly while expecting sex, yet still be honest about it. If, at any point, he pretends to be suave and endearing when in fact he's purely motivated by his lust, then he's dishonest. But there's nothing inherently dishonest about not fully appreciating something you've received (such as sex) unless you've deliberately lied to get it.

Call me a bigot, but I find this kind of funny coming from somebody who purports to be an Italian.

I suppose that would depend on who you talk to, but for the most part that is considered a very out moded way of thinking. Still I have to say you are right as a generality american men often want to take without giving or appreciating and I find that every bit as sad as you do!

Well I suppose it depends a gret deal on how you go about finding a guy. If you are hanging out in a bar, then yes you will find it populated by skazzy dick-heads. (Or regular guys that are shaped by the context.)
If you are dating me, then yes american men are honest. (And sensitive! But not 'appreciative'. Sex is a mutual sharing, so its not like i should be grateful or something!)
Good luck finding a good one, though. We have almost been hunted to extinction.
