Havent seen my girl for a month, am seeing her next friday...

I was wondering, as i am not going to be the only one on here who is in a long distance relationship.

But does anyone have any happy stories they want to share about seeing your partner after a while away.

Im going for the whole weekend, and i cant wait

best,

There is nothing better than coming home to a SO who loves, misses and needs you.

Any happy stories about coming back from a long absence? Yes. Many. But as Tom Hanks said in Saving Private Ryan, those stories are just for me. I don't share those ones.

You are lucky. Remember, the weekend you are about to spend will be with you for the rest of your life. How many times can you say that?

My wife and I were in a LDR while dating for 3 years.

Since I'm not into writing erotic stories, not much I can share about those get togethers.

Some of the best memories/moments I have of my relationship w/ktspktsp are from reunions after a separation. There's really nothing better than that first kiss, and all-grabbing hug. :D and what comes after... ;) And yes, this even applies to reunions every weekend, after just 4-5 days apart!

As much as long-distance relationships suck, one nice thing about them is the reunions... the anticipation, and the renewal it brings each time. I think it really is refreshing to the relationship. :)

i am in a long distance relationship, and tomorrow i am finally going to get to see my gf for the first time since i left town. She is picking me up at the airport and everything too haha. It is not too bad doing the long distance thing. You forget about the physical relationship you had, which in many ways can cheapen a relationship.

Ill see how the reunion goes!

RCR 10-08-2005 07:52 AM

Yeah shes picking me up, 6 days and counting lol

The best thing about a ldr is seeing each other for the first time after a period of time apart. I can't explain the feeling that I felt just seeing the person. You feel as if your heart is going to explode and the electricity that is between the 2 people is intense. It is almost as if it the first time with that person all over again. One word...incredible :)

Yep, that's what I love about it!! I think that whenever you need a jump-start on your relationship, spend some time away from each other and experience that feeling of newness again... it's wonderful. :D

next month i will be seeing my girlfriend for the first time in almost a year. in december of last year we were released for 3 days to visit home.

after only one month, our lovemaking was gargantuously energetic and raw. we boffed like rabbits. i can only imagine what it's going to be like now.

i must admit, absence does make the heart grow fonder. it just really sucks when the absence means you're in iraq and have to wait almost a year!

Shit, I have a counter on my desktop at home and at work counting down the time until I get to see Julie again (45 days 7 hours and 19 minutes until her plane lands). I feel complete when shes around, and at peace with the world. Nothing can go wrong and every problem that I may have at the time is extremely insignificant. Its amazing. Tell us how it goes!

I got back from deployment about three weeks ago. It's been interesting.

RCR 10-11-2005 02:48 PM

Thanks guys, i wont be graphic, but i think it will be as 1010011010 said, "interesting"

all the best,

fightnight 10-13-2005 12:12 PM

It'll be great. We used to do the LDR thing, and it's hard, but those were some fun weekends, although we didn't get out much.

Poppinjay 10-13-2005 12:20 PM

Yeah, we cancel a lot of plams and turn down alot of invites.

Two more hateful weeks......

Then, what then? Happiness. I will try to always remember our LDR time together when I get into one of those walk out the door moods.

I literally just got back to Germany after visiting my GF back in the States for a week. Like others said, it's a great feeling--that first hug... Total happiness. Of course, then you have to deal with leaving again, which is quite hard, as I'm finding out :(

ruggerp11 10-14-2005 09:29 AM

I don't cry, but I did when she left last time

(40 days 10 hours and 47 minutes)

cierah 10-14-2005 09:42 AM

My boy (who I haven't seen for a little more than a month) is coming to see me this weekend! I'm really excited about it and so is he. He's a tool though because he's driving 15 hours to see me and then 15 hours back and with my work and all we aren't sure how much actually time we will have together. But he misses me so he's coming! I hate how sometimes it literally physically hurts when you miss someone so much and all you want in the world is for that person to be in the same room as you but they aren't. They are a world away.

abaya 10-14-2005 10:04 AM

Cierah--15 hours, jesus, why doesn't he just fly? (esp w/the cost of gas these days!)

ruggerp11 10-14-2005 10:49 AM

She probably doesn't drive for the same reason I am not able to every weekend. The cost from MN to Montreal is damn near criminal :(

cierah 10-15-2005 03:29 PM

I think he did do the math and driving was cheaper. He also wants a car when he's out here. The funniest thing in the world is we went on a radom road trip and ended up in Gander, Newfoundland - when gas was $1.50. I laughed.
