The Matrix soundtrack--no contest. Also select songs by all of the artists on the matrix soundtrack. I have had SO MUCH sex to this CD, hehe...my gf was very worried people would hear us (lived with three roommates) and always blasted it.
(we usually skipped track one, though, heh) 1. Rock Is Dead - Marilyn Manson 2. Spybreak - Propellerheads 3. Bad Blood - Ministry 4. Clubbed to Death [Kurayamino Mix] - Rob D. 5. Prime Audio Soup - Meat Beat Manifesto 6. Leave You Far Behind - Lunatic Calm 7. Mindfields - The Prodigy 8. Dragula [Hot Rod Herman Remix] - Rob Zombie 9. My Own Summer (Shove It) - Deftones 10. Ultrasonic Sound - Hive 11. Look to Your Orb for the Warning - Monster Magnet 12. Du Hast - Rammstein 13. Wake Up - Rage Against the Machine

Barry White, Al Green, Luther Vandross... all excellent soulfoul sex songs.
How about the worst songs to play during sex? I once met a guy at a bar, and when we went to his place (the first night i met him), he had Whitney Houston "I will always love you" playing in the background. I had to get up and leave.

Everyone seems to have a favorite but what was created for the sex act
is :"Revell's Ballero".(Might be spelled different.) It starts out slow but keeps getting louder and repeats the same theme until it has a big CLIMAX at the end. (It was used in that old movie "10", I think when the old dude was trying to bed the blond babe.) |

call me crazy, but i can't listen to music while having sex. it's too distracting for me, especially if it's a song i really like. i've done it before, but i definetly prefer without it.

big yes! on the Afro-Celt sound system, Massive attack, and the like... I also like OO Soul, Digable planets, Solsonics, JOI, and Madhouse, if you can find it... that was a paisley park production deal that I've not been able to replace when the cassette finally croaked (well before MP3s and digitizing that was possible with my equip)

Pulp is a tremendously sexy group. The sexiness there lies often in Jarvis's voice and lyrics; the songs are pretty rockin'. Massive Attack is also incredibly sexy, but it's in the beat and the music. I'm not sure which I like better.

No particular order:
Son of a Preacher man - Dusty Springfield Let's get it on - Marvin Gaye Janis Joplin Luther Vandross Otis Redding Many, many obscure tracks from Prince Wow, this list makes it seem like I have to go get the Ben Gay out of the closet for a rub down and some hot senior-citizen love makin'! Oh well, I like what I like.

The "Anvil Chorus" by Verdi
The "William Tell Overture" by Rossini "The Mighty Mouse Song" by Mighty Mouse j/k I don't really listen to music while I'm having sex -maybe some Marvin Gaye before sex but not for sex itself - music kinda distracts me from the person I'm with. The last woman I was with liked to play Charlie Parker or Billie Holiday ... I like their music but it competed for my attention - did nothing for my mood but it sure kept her going. I haven't personally used these songs for sex (yet), but I'd have to second the recommendations for most songs by The Postal Service, as well as almost anything from Transatlanticism or Plans by Death Cab for Cutie. Iron & Wine also did a cover of Such Great Heights that's very sensual (it's the song in the sex scene during Garden State), but it's not very high-energy.
I just checked out Ledenhed (listed in the CDBaby link) and officially give it my stamp of approval, along with select tracks from DJ Icey, Common, John Legend, and Duran Duran. Check out Pandora. It's a great resource for finding some new tracks.

Hey Kangaeru,
Ok, many great one's have been mentioned. High energy right? Darius Rucker - Wild One - is a good way to start it off. Not high energy but upbeat and certainly sugestive Goldfrapp - Strict Machine and Twist - two sexy songs Prodigy - Firestarter (Empirion Mix) - I love the way it builds up and it's 8 min long (which is a bonus). Ironically I like to kickbox to this song. Massive Attack - Angel - once again, great buildup, very moving. Smashing Pumpkins - The Everlasting Gaze - very high energy, would be a perfect song if it wasn't for the cruel interuption by Billy's voice near the end. BT & Sarah Mclachlan - I Love You - I adore this song, it's high beat, low energy, slight ups and downs, 9 min long, it's really wonderful. Sasha and John Digweed - Last Train To Lhasa - 11 min long, high beat, very steady, great to get lost in. Also try some songs by Underworld - Cowgirl, Twist, Born Slippy Juno Reactor (notable for their Matrix songs) is sweet if you like that kind of music. Cheers. |

Kangaeru,
I am sorry my mind wen't for a break when I wrote my last reply. Goldfrap - Twist "Put your dirty angel face Between my legs And knicker lace Fight me, try me Kiss me like you like me Twist it round again and again" I think you'll like that. Another notable mention is Chemical Brothers - Out of Control |

Am I the only one who's actually gotten it on to Let's Get It On?
John Mayer's Come Back To Bed has worked for me in the past, too.
