The overwhelming response from both the men and the ladies is that:

IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF THE WAVE,
IT'S THE MOTION OF THE OCEAN!

So learn to move your hips, brush up on the oral sex, don't give your tiny pecker a second thought and you'll do just fine.
Also, DO NOT post about shaving, where to shave, how to shave, when to shave, why to shave, why to shave, or anything else having to do with shaving. It's all in here.

If you've already searched high and low, and REALLY think you have a unique question, PM a moderator and ask if you can make a thread about it- because if you don't, and it's another shaving thread, it's going in here. This thread is 27 pages for a reason- people always wanting to start threads about shaving...

So... have fun, and don't post about shaving. Thanks! :)

Shaving Below The Belt

The forest is getting a little thick so I think I want trim it down. Plus I think clean up after sex, masturbation, etc. would be much simpler and easier. I have never attempted such delicate surgery. How, what, when where, etc. Thanks for any help and or suggestions in this matter

Use a good post-shave healer. Don't do it to often. I shaved two days in a row early last week, and it still looks like damage from a shotgun blast. Also, soaking the area in really hot water whether in a bath or witha hot towel will soften the hair and let it absorb shaving cream better. The best brand of cream is Neutrogena, the kind I use is in a white can with gray and blue on it. If I had waited another day and gotten another can instead of using whatever was around, I wouldn't have my current problem. For post-shave, it's expensive, but Clinique for men post-shave healer is great.

EDIT: How could I forget, BRNAD NEW RAZOR EACH TIME!

There were many posts on threads regarding this on the old board. We really need a standard 'frequent threads' for things like this.
Basic answer, some use razors some use electric shavers like those for hair others just trim with scissors and some pull.
Personally I go for the full combo, electric cutter to keep things down in high density areas, razor for those areas that are good to keep really smooth, and pull the ones that are annoying growing near the penis.

Roark 05-04-2003 03:51 AM

I use an electric trimmer and trim everything nice and short then us a Mach 3 for the boys. That razor is magic!!

MahlerIsGod 05-04-2003 12:45 PM

So I did it. I got started and said screw it and I went completely bald. I looks a little weird the first time but I think it will grow on me (I just realized what I typed, sorry.......) There is one very distinct and unexpected advantage to going bald: ball sac smell is history. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.

BoCo 05-04-2003 01:08 PM

Use a ceramic blade!

Trust me on that one. ;)

SiN 05-04-2003 01:51 PM

good shave cream for sensitive skin -> Aveeno shave gel.

good razor -> Mach 3 Turbo.
(altho i'm curious about the ceramic blades BoCo mentiond...)

shaving == good, for boys and girls :)

Halx 05-04-2003 03:16 PM

This is how I go about it, but I may have tougher skin that the avg person - I dont get razor burn easily. I use Mach 3 Turbo

I shave when I'm in the shower, no shaving cream, just constantly running hot water. First I prepare the skin with Dove bar soap - helps the razor and your own skin slide along. I start with running against the grain on the shaft and the patch above it. Then I go with the grain the legs. On the sack, by this time it's now fairly loose (not wrinkled) and I can go against the grain without snagging any skin :) When I'm all clean, I just run the bar soap over my bits because it just feels damn good. Ahh what a beautiful feeling.

If you're ever staying at my house, request a separate bar of soap.

Mr. Creosote 05-04-2003 05:53 PM

I agree with all regarding the Mach 3, best way to go. Here's my discovery though... use the ladies' shaving gel. WAY better than regular shaving cream when it comes to the tender bits.

I shave every 2-3 days. In addition to feeling silky smooth for yourself, the wife/gf is much more willing to give some mouth action if its hairless and odorless down below.

GoldenOuroboros 05-05-2003 03:32 AM

creme de la creme de la creme..

I use a hair removal cream, I aint placin no razor near my balls..

Halx 05-05-2003 10:23 AM

GO - that spells out BAKED BEANS for you if you do it too much.

Dude, if you get a good razor, it's not bad at all. I was scared the first time, but I was like, damn this is easy. If you are really scared, get that schick with the protective wires or something ;P

zfleebin 05-05-2003 08:00 PM

I prefer the electric razor for the goodies. I use a setting of two around the base and either go to the skin or one on the sac. If you put some conditioner on it right after you shave it helps keep the burn away and it feels damn good. If the burn gets to you get yourself some goldbond(only the powder) that stuff is amazing.

Antagony 05-05-2003 09:55 PM

Don't be discouraged by your first shaving experience. The first time likely won't end up as nice as you desire. But a few more shaves along the road and your skin will be more accustomed to the blade, and you won't be suffering from any razor burn or anything.

GSRIDER 05-06-2003 10:28 AM

The trick with the razor areas is to use one that you've already used on your face once or twice. Something about the used blades make things go much smoother...

For the general trim areas I use a #2 gaurd on hair clippers. Razor on shaft and ballz.

GOOOOOOO TEAM!!!!!!!!

how do you take cre of an ingrown hair???

daasd 05-06-2003 10:35 AM

I've never done it before but I imagine it would be simpler to just go get it professionally waxed. I suppose that would hurt a bit though.

I get them sometimes when I'm an idiot and shave the wrong direction. You just need to get a sharp pin and tweezers and yank those suckers own. It hurts for a little, but it's a small price to pay for smootheness!

htwhite 05-08-2003 03:37 AM

get one of those ladies razors that has the little wires over the blades, its called silk effects i believe, ive been using it for over a year, never even nicked my sack. also curel makes some post shave lotion that is intended to make hair more sparse and softer when it grows back, ive been using it since early feburary and my nut hair is much softer and easier to shave.its called Smooth Legs and technically is a shave minimizing moisturizer.

Cuball 05-08-2003 08:55 AM

well I thought about it, but I play basketball and that means having a shower with friends and so ... guess they would all be looking at my ... shaved balls ... and I wouldn't like that

BooRadley 05-08-2003 11:25 AM

Is it true if you cut your sack you can't stop the bleeding?

Shokan 05-08-2003 11:56 AM

BooRadley - Completely false. It just hurts like hell. Blood is the same blood as anywhere else. It eventually clots.

limited 05-08-2003 08:44 PM

I've done it before, but won't do it again. The sweat produced down there is meant to combine with hair. Without the fuzziness, my sac sticks to my legs like NOTHING ELSE. it is such a pain in the ass. If you really wanted to, you could trim the sac hair and pubes, but leave the hair inbetween your legs and cock-tal area

JStrider 05-08-2003 09:55 PM

well i pluck my balls... and any hair thats creeping up the shaft... yah ya might think it might hurt... but it doesnt...sometimes if i get 2 hairs at once it can hurt... as for the rest of the hair... ive ben tossing around the idea of shaving it... but havnt been able to make that last step and do it...

-Ever- 05-09-2003 09:27 PM

I've done it a few times before but it was too much upkeep for an unappreciative girlfriend. Now I just use a trimmer on one of the low settings once a week.

Quick question. Has anyone ever used an electric razor, not trimmer, down there? Like a flathead electric razor (not one with the three circles) that you'd use on your face. I've considered it, but it's a little too intimidating. However it gets my face extremely smooth, why wouldn't it work wonders on my balls? :D

I hear plucking can lead to infections in the area. Just something you might want to watch out for.

Never use an electric razor. Ever. The skin on your dick/balls is much, much looser than the skin on your face (unless you're in your 70's or something). Since most electric razors pull the hair to cut it, skin also gets pulled. While this doesn't really matter on your face, I don't think you want to risk having a piece of your scrotum chopped off for the sake of smoothness.

Mach 3 Turbo is the way to go, as is the new Gillette gel (I'm not a company man, I swear). I think they should put out an add just for that. Imagine those 3 space chicks lathering the guy up, shaving his privates, then the guy wakes up spent in his bathroom with that silver lipstick all over his cock n' balls...

Yeah, I should be in marketing.

toxic515 05-12-2003 05:37 PM

Electric razor on gonads= evil satan blood pain.

trust me........

Agreed with most of above, use a good sharp razor and lots and lots of sensitive skin shaving cream.

Bald willy and nookie= awesome fun good sex. worth the work, esp. if your significant other does it as well.

MahlerIsGod 05-12-2003 05:45 PM

I am sorry if this is a stupid question but would it help to shave whilst erect? Making the skin a little more taut and less "baggy?" Just wondering.

analog 05-13-2003 10:59 PM

MACH 3 TURBO- 'nuff said. Also, get some good "sensitive skin" shaving gel. I usually find that I start without an erection, but I can only handle the shit for so long before, well, I react.

As for the guy worried about his friends eyeing his nards in the shower- they come off with any bullshit, you tell them there's no way they get as much head as you do, and all because it's shaved. That'll shut them up.

ninety09 05-14-2003 06:34 AM

Is there really a big difference between the mach3 and the mach3Turbo ?

cdwonderful 05-14-2003 03:49 PM

plucking? scary. mach 3, good choice. works real good

That's exactly what I do. It works awsome. Be wary of aftershave down there though. You have to remember that you're probably going to stick your wedding tackle back into your BVDs right after you've finished and you don't want that alchohol slowly digesting your nuts over the course of the day.

Ps. Remember to leave a landing strip for the ladies above Nixon's nose and thank me later.

05-14-2003 04:04 PM

Is there any truth to plucking causes infection? I have a few hairs growing up the shaft. I have used tweezers and plucked them befor (completely smooth and they don't grow back for awhile) and it seemed to work fine.

JStrider 05-14-2003 07:55 PM

i dont know... i havnt been doing it for very long... but i havnt noticed any signs of infection...

OranjeDrank 05-15-2003 06:00 PM

Are you guys shaving just the sac or getting on down between your legs and into the nether regions? just curious.....

lady 05-15-2003 07:26 PM

As for the risk of infection with tweezing... Just make sure the skin and tweezers are clean, and if it starts looking irritated, put some polysporin on it or something.
