Can women REALLY fake an orgasm?
For all of the jokes about women faking orgasms, from the ‘restaurant scene’ to even Sienfeld, and how the men couldn’t tell, I don’t think thats really possible. Every woman who I have given a ‘big O’ to followed a very similar pattern of muscle contraction and pulsation.
So last night, after some activity, something pretty obvious dawned on me. There is NO way a woman could really fake an orgasm that would fool a man unless the man had never made a woman orgasm. Now is this entirely true? I guess I have to ask the ladies since the men may have been lied to :D Do all women, when having one of those mind blowing orgasms, tighten up and then pulsate after? Can you ‘fake it’ to the point of faking the muscle aspect as well? |
I could probably fake a facsimile of the muscle contractions but I wouldn't be able to fake the nipple erection that follows an orgasm in women. As far as I know, this is invariable - correct me if I'm wrong.
|
I don't know how anyone can fake all that goes on-nipples get erect, muscles contract, skin gets ultra-sensitive, i don't even know what else could be going on..i'm kinda busy at that moment....
|
I decided to ask my wife, and her response was the same, there is no way a man could be fooled unless he never gave a woman an orgasm before.
Apparently we have another holywood myth busted. I wonder if I should call discovery for MythBusters :D |

Absolutely. I can fake everything about an orgasm and he is none the wiser. |
the question i have is, why would a woman want to fake an orgasim? i dont get that at all, i mean as a guy if i couldent make you finish just tell me!, it would probably cause more problems for me if you faked it and i knew :S

Normally the best way I find to give a woman a 'mind blower' type orgasm is oral. So while you lick, suck, etc the clitoris you have a free hand to finger at the same time. Now as the woman approaches orgasm, they will start to tense up, you can feel this from the belly to the legs. Then the vagina will contract, and where as I could get 3 fingers in before, one now feels very tight, this can go on for quite a while. As the orgasm approaches the pressure on my finger will get even harder and normally her hips start to buck a bit. There is a sort of general overall relaxation at the moment of orgasm, and normally the woman would push me away and try to avoid contact due to the extreme sensitivity. Provided I'm inside for it, either with my finger or with my penis, you can feel the involuntary rhythmic contraction. This is very different than a kegel contraction in terms of feeling. Where as a woman will tense up and squeeze for a kegel contraction, there is no tension in the orgasm contraction except in the vagina. If you can fake all that, I am extremely impressed. I’d also like to get to know you better :suave: |
count my vote with all the "fake it only for the guys that have never given a woman an O before" replies

Sorry boys, but sometimes it just isn't going to happen and I would rather give a performance than disappoint or worse have a guy just keep going and going and going and going... |
A woman can fake the vocal sounds, emotions, and even some "feelings" but like some have stated earlier, if you have given a woman an orgasm before, then you should be able to have an idea if something is not right....
the other day I pulled off a quickie, and I asked my girlfriend if she had "one" and she said yes, then I replied, no you didnt... then she quickly admitted that she didnt, but it was still good... women.... :\ |

There's no way a man could be fooled once he sees the eyes turning towards the back of the head, twitching, jolts and moans that come from woman during orgasm. |

I can fake every aspect of it.
I haven't been with a ton of guys, but the ones I did fake it with never and still don't know. It's pretty damn easy. As far as the muscle contractions go, I got that down pat. I can contract *any* muscle down there, no problem. My nipples get hard the second I take or my shirt and my cheeks become flushed when I am excited. As far as twitching and eye rolling go, thats a piece of cake. |

I'm sorry ladies but as a very experianced man I just can't see it being possible.
There is only one way to be sure, who's ready for some hand on experimentation? And there are people out there that think science isn't fun! :D I should bring up my innie/outie theory one of these days (and I'm not talking about belly buttons). |

I don't know how it is for other women, but the orgasms I've faked have been for the pound-away-forever sex. When you know they are just gonna batter you til they think you'll climax. (Even though most women don't orgasm from penetration only).
No, they don't notice, 'cause these are the 'in it for themselves' type. The faked orgasm completes the act, and I can get my money and go on my way...lol |
I agree that it's pretty easy to tell if you're in an oral or digital situation. I think I could conceivably be fooled in a straight missionary-type situation, though.
This topic reminds me of the deathless phrase in an old National Lampoon essay: "Is It a Real Orgasm? The honest female orgasm is three to fifteen rhythmic contractions of the outer third of the vagina at .8-second intervals (the contractions follow the beat of the song "Surfin' USA"). Unless these contractions occur, you can regard her groaning, moaning, clawing, kicking, begging for mercy, and shouting filthy religious epithets as bargain-basement histrionics. I'm with *Nikki*...I can fake pretty convincingly. I learned how to after losing my virginity because 1) I was still pretty sore down there and tight, and 2) my partner and I were still figuring out what worked and what didn't...oh and 3) he was too damn insecure to accept the fact that I enjoyed it without an orgasm. I have major control over my vaginal muscles. That is a double-edged sword.
Fortunately, I am now a fountain of orgasms--however, some partners question my orgasm (I tend to have lots of small ones) because it doesn't add up to their expectation of what the female orgasm should be. However, I have assured many of them the small ones I get from sex are far better (and more numerous) than the big singular one I get from masturbation. That usually makes them feel better about the whole thing. |
They do it all the time - if they want to.

 Even the toe curl can be faked... sometimes it's a lot of work to fake - but it's not hard... in fact it's pretty easy..... |

Also, occasionally I will have very mild orgasms from vaginal stimulation... not the full on wohoo type but a climax situation just the same. Sometimes, men just aren't paying enough attention to know the difference. |
First off... some guys wouldn't know an orgasm if they tripped over it... so faking it is easy.
As for men who are actually attuned enough to know if a woman has orgasmed or not... they are probably skilled enough that faking isn't even an issue. Personally I would hope that no woman would be so disrespectful as to fake it for me... I'd rather they said, "Don't worry, I don't think I'm going to get there this time... give your jaw a rest," or "Fuck your jaw aching... get back to work!" |

Sex is not about the destination... it's about the journey-- you reacha certain age and an orgasm is not the be all and end all of the universe. Faking is for the person who doesn't quite see it that way -- for the person who doesnt think it was any good unless there was an orgasm as the payoff... |
Sometimes faking is just easier then explaining!
|
My wife doesn't have the pulsing contractions when she cums. Her whole vagina clamps down when she gets close and there it stays 'til the fireworks are over. Don't assume that all women will respond to orgasm the same way. They don't. So much for the theory that some guys are just too experienced to be fooled.

To me it's disrespectful because it means you aren't being honest with me. On the flips side, if I'm not satisfying you and you aren't telling me... then it ceases to be my problem that you aren't getting satisfaction (i.e. if you are faking me out then how am I supposed to know?). That said, I agree with this: Quote:

Another perspective I would add to women who have faked it and had their partners believe it... are those partners actually any good? Sometimes when my partner has an orgasm, and it's only alright - those are usually quickies on the way to the real thing. When she has the real thing, however, her entire body locks up, she often can't help but scream, and she can barely talk afterwards. I imagine she could fake the "small" orgasms easily. But to fake the real thing is a whole different ballgame, and I don't think it's possible. I would say that if you can fake and have a guy believe it, not only does he not actually care about your pleasure (so he's not paying too much attention), he's not very good at giving it, either. Get a new boy. Just my two cents. |

I haven't faked an orgasm in years. :) Thankfully. |
not if you are informed. an orgasm causes the muscles in your vagina to tense up (like clench or squeeze you) for like anywhere from 10 seconds to 1 minute (or more if she is really lucky) and after that, the muscles not only there but in the entire body become very relaxed, like after you feel when you have had an all over body massage. forget listening to what is coming out of her mouth...pay attention to what her body is doing. it will tell you.
|
Couldn't kegels give them the ability to fake it mayhap?
|
women my be able to fake an orgasm, but men can fake an entire relationship(including the orgasm but not the ropes)

I have been faked on before, not the ego boosting type which I don't like but can understand the reasons for, but the "I don't want to be here and want him to get off me" kind. She thought I couldn't tell I'm sure, but I could. It wasn't because I was selfish, I tried my best to pleasure her, she just didn't like sex at all. It got so bad that I actually faked it myself a few times because I wasn't into it, which is kinda funny if you think about it.
I can see why you'd do it if you didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I'd rather know, I'm mature enough to handle it and not make a big deal out of it. My wife does not fake and never has far as I know. She usually doesn't have one during sex but will have 2 or 3 during foreplay, and if she can't she just tells me and we move on. I used to not understand how you could enjoy sex without getting off during it, but now I know that girls are wired differently and she can enjoy it even if she doesn't cum once all night, and I don't have the "gotta get her off no matter what" looming over me |

I've fooled men and women. sometimes its just easier then explaining why i didnt come. and you can fake the contractions, the eyes, the moans, the toes, the flush and the bucking. easy.

Now we have the answer - just hook her up to a brain scanning machine. :p

Hehe I'd like to meet a woman who claims to be able to fake involuntary contractions. I'd be willing to bet $1000 she couldn't fool me :D

A woman can fake an orgasm if a guy doesn't have any experience. ie knowing the physical attributes that go along with most female orgasms - that can't be duplicated. :)

As Ustwo said the contractions would be hard to pull off. There is also the time spent with your partner. Sure I might miss it early on but once I get to know the girl it's pretty easy to spot the fake from the real, there are simply too many singnals involved. Half the time I know how well I'll do before remove the panties. Then there is the way you girls act afterwards.
Also, just because you ladies think you can fake it, doesnt mean you don't get caught. :p Sometime us guys simply accept the faking. Not all the time mind you :| There are simply times when you fuck up on the technique or come on too strong or she accepts just to indulge but isn't really in the mood for it. Hell it happens. It's an easy out for you, but it's also an easy out for us. So we accept it. |
anything is possible if you have an unobservant lover but women who have control of that muscle can fake one if her lover is accustomed to that. otherwise men are generally happy to see all the writhing and moans and don't pay much attention elsewhere.
|
Controlling an unconcious vaginal response in the tune of many a second would be like using "mind power" to control your heart beat or change your skin temperature. Some people can actually control unconcious repsonses, but they're rare. However, the penis is not exactly a scientific instrument for measuring vaginal behavior. I think women can't truly really fake orgasm (as demonstrated by a brain-machine), but mens' penises CAN be insensitive enough to not notice the difference, even if you're the Almighty Genie of Penises.
