drying out of the skin on my penis
 

well i havent been sexuly active long so i realyl dont know if this is normal so i thought i would ask.

me and my fiance have sex allot (2 to 3 times a day or more when we are together) and i have noticed that the skin on my penis becomes extreamly dry and cracks to the point of bleeding after a couple days of this much activity.

i was just wondering if this is at all normal when having allot of sex without the use of a condom? (she's on the pill) we have both been checked and are compleatly disease free so thats not any cause for it, but its kinda allarming looking down and seeing it bleeding :S

There are a few questions:

a) Are you using lube, and if so are you using enough of it?
b) Does she "dry out" fast and/or complain of being too dry?
c) Are you cleaning yourself off after sex?

I don't think it's normal. Abrasions on the penis aren't normal.

This has happened to Martel, definitely not to the point of cracked and bleeding, but he gets dry skin which sheds. However, his is from masturbating dry and not necessarily from having sex. So, are you masturbating a lot in addition to having sex? If so, do you masturbate "dry" (no lube)?

Personally, this sounds like a more serious issue- your penis shouldn't bleed. When's the last time your girl went to her OBGYN? She might have an infection (not an STD, just a regular ole infection) that is affecting the secretions of her vagina. You should go to your doctor and her to hers and both get checked out. The doctor is the only person who's going to be able to tell you definitively what is going on.

Bottom line: Get both of ye to thy doctor! :)

she went to hers a couple times since this started happining, she checks out ok, dosent happen at all when i masturbate (dry or wet).

I used to get the dry, flaky skin thing - no bleeding though. I found that it was merely a dry skin issue more than anything else. Some tissue oil applied once daily sorted me out within a coupla days.

Dude, I had this once. But without the bleeding. anniegetyergun´s answer was effective.

sometimes i inexplicably get some dryness on the shaft, usually closer to the head. on occasion there has been light "bleeding," in the way that might happen if skin is dry, cracked, and stretched (masterbation, sex). moisturizer helps, but you should go to a doctor if this is a frequent problem. hopefully it's just dry, overworked skin!

i went to the clinic, just a tad bit embarrasing talking to the female doc about it lol, but yeah she told me to put moisturiser on it and rub it in good so it absorbs (my mind was in the gutter at that point lol) other then that she said have sex with a condom more freqently and when its sore, no anal exept with a TON of lube (which i do anyways)
