Quick question
Question for the ladies since obviously, I can't post it in the Ladies lounge.
I'm thinking about asking this girl out and to find out if she's really single (Some of my coworker says she's single, I don't believe them) So, I went to her and I asked if she was single and she said that she is. I asked why, and she said that she likes being single. Now, my question is. So I still go ahead and ask her out since she said that she likes being single or am I just wasting my time? |
You can like being single and still enjoy y he company of a nice atttractive young man.
Ask her out... honestly the worst thing that will happen is she'll politely decline... and the reason might be you work together so don't take it personally if she does. The best thing that will happen is she'll say yes.. and you'll have fun. Ask her out... |
Perhaps when you asked her why she is single, she took it the wrong way and answered in a defensive manner. In any event, you got your answer....she's single! Go ahead and ask her out.

Well, she's not likely to answer "because I can't find a man," is she?
What would you have said in her position? |

But yeah, you got a good point. |
if i was asked why im single, i would have said the same thing..no ones gonna say "cos i suck" or "no one will take me" or "cos im a psycho bitch with multiple personalities". by saying she enjoys being single, it toys with a single males fantasies of a wild fun loving girl..isnt that what we all want?
now it might all be a front or facade, but hey play along..tell her that u love being single too and that the two of you should chat about singledom over a coffee during ure lunch break or after work. mask it in humour and sarcasm, and u cant go wrong..whats the worst that could happen?..she'll say no..and then u can pretend its ok cos u were only joking. easy |
She's single, and she's not hiding that fact from you. This, to me, is an open doorway my friend. As was mentioned, the fact the she told you that she "likes being single" could just be her fronting to get out of a tricky question, and could just be a bit of dating gameplay. Either way, you've got absolutely nothing to lose in asking her out. And since you know she's single, your chances are just so much better.

Asking why she is single was pretty poor form for you - why are you single? Unfortunately you have already told her more about your state of mind and situation than she has told you. Be prepared to bring more to the table than a "I need somebody" attitude to win her over...
