depression
I stopped reading after like the first six or seven posts.
I've been through a similar thing. Like you, I was depressed. I couldn't sleep. My mind just wouldn't stop trying to puzzle out what went wrong. It was totally screwing me up. I would be so tired but I couldn't fall asleep. Then I would wake up and be tired and bummed out. Basically it was kind of like a self perpetuating problem. I started running and working out. Just totally exhausting my body down every day to the point where I could fall asleep at night. Things started to turn around for me. Exercising is a great way to combat depression. It's a mind/body thing. You regain your confidence. You look in the mirror and you look better. Your posture is better. You start to get hungry. You start to look out for and to take care of yourself. And that's what you've got to do... take care of yourself. Even if at the start you are doing it to show her or to win her back... whatever... just exercise and eat right and try to look your best and to be on top of your game. things will turn around for you and that's when you'll start to get over her. good luck. |

I don't really have a success story, but I do have some friends that had been together for nearly 4 years and they decided they needed to take a break. Their break only lasted a few days and they were back together. I'm not really sure if that can be considered a break.
I've discussed this topic with several friends before, and we all decided that if a couple wants to take a break, then they probably aren't meant to be. I don't think your gf is a horrible person for this, but it seems early in your relationship and that is probably the best time for this. I say try being on your own for a while, and if along the way you come back to each other, then that is great. You're still young so live life to its fullest. If she's the "one," she'll come back. |
