How noticeable are public erections?
 

I, as a guy, am very familiar with the public erection, this having happened to me since puberty. However, until my current girlfriend pointed out to me some day walking around that I had a very obvious erection, I've never thought about how well I hide them: I always thought it was basically invisible for anyone who wasn't looking? So is this a case of my girl knowing what to look for, or are erections really that noticeable? Women especially, do you notice right away that a man has an erection if you see him?

So, its all natural, why should we be embarrased? Okay, that's the ideal. What's a guy supposed do though? I remember having to walk, hunched over, up to a teacher's desk in junior high...that was embarassing...

I always just let it fly. Sure, people would point and laugh, but not anyone I gave a damn about. And the girls I did give a damn about would usually just look, and smile.....

wear a belt and tuck it man, thats what i did.

I do everything I can to make sure my erection is as noticeable as possble. If they don't like it, fuck 'em. If they do like it, fuck 'em, too.

Why don't you put a couple of large socks down there when it is not happening & do a series of experiments in public places?
They do look because I have caught two women on separate occasions looking in the office. They got embarrassed when I caught them looking - serves them right! :)

Dude let me tell you something. Public errections are as noticable as the issues women have with there nipples. You and I both know that when a women is walking around with her arms crossed in from of here chest, something is going on. But it doesn't matter. Such is life.

Hmmm....I've never really noticed a man with a public erection simply because I don't look at men's crotches in public....

However, it's just one of those things that happens, I guess.

Every so often my wicked streak will come out, and I will see if I can't provoke one.. The only way I can generally do that is with my mind... A few years back, I was on a train from Washington to NY and train was quite crowded so I had a seatmate... Who seemed bored and was very interested in what was on my computer screen, so I opted to give him something to be interested in... and wrote an email to the guy I was dating at the time, and it was -- oh- -how shall I say this... way over the top... Poor guy couldn't move when I asked him to stand up so I could walk down to the bar car...

I figured it was a good email.. :)

They're noticable if you're looking for them, not if you don't. Since I gave up on guys, I haven't been looking, so I haven't noticed any.

Either I have a crotch fetish, or it is a matter of "what's different in this picture." Bulges of that kind are noticed gentlemen.

I will say, me and my girlfriends had a good laugh a few weeks ago on this subject. We were at a party (large mixed group of girls and guys) and someone decided to pop in the DVD for "American Pie" and a few of us noticed the guy's erections during the main nude scene, and also noticed which guys were trying to hide it.

I agree with the whole.... who cares scenario.... just let it go.... most people will either laugh or not look at all. I've had many embarassing situations.... just ask my girlfriend. I just let it go... doesn't bother me at all.

Generally speaking I think if you try to catch a guy with one, sure you can probably notice. But most people probably aren't trying to, and so they generally go unnoticed. I only ever happen to see it if my eyes happen to wander in that direction unintentionally. I don't really think it's a big deal, it's just a fact of life.

I've caught girls looking at my crotch before and the bulge I have down there but it's never when I actually have an erection. LOL and not once have I ever messed with them either and been like "What are you looking at?!" One of these days I should do that though..that would be hilarious.

Hah I had this problem..come up the other day while I was working.

So I work for a beer company and deliver cases of beer to convenience overnight, our uniforms are smaller than the clothes I wear when I'm not working and have to be tucked in. I'm in front of the store stacking the beer off a pallet when these women pull up in a car and the driver gets out, she was very attractive and dressed up like she had come from a club or something, she made a comment and gave me enough of a smile and glance to get me going a little..I'm like oh my god not now..I try to hide but nowhere to go, I can feel the people in the car looking so I tried to conceal myself behind a stack of beer don't know if it worked but I couldn't even look at the women when she left the store.

it never really bothered me. same with adjusting my package. how many times have guys seen girls adjusting their bras? guys need to adjust their package everynow and then also.

hmm. I rarely get erections in public, because well, it takes alot to get me excited. I guess I can thank porn for this. Perhaps I should be worried that I don't get many erections at all...

I'd say that unless you've got pants so baggy that it can hide in the folds, public erections (at least full ones) are pretty noticeable. I don't do the book thing if I ever get one (thankfully they're rare), but I'm too modest to just be displaying it all proudly. I try to work out a method of sorta-hiding-it-while-maintaining-the-appearance-of-not-hiding-it. My guess is that I just look like a retard when I do this, but it makes me feel better. :P

I haven't had an erection in public for many years. I just don't get going that easy, when dealing with the most attractive of woman, I usually don't react any diffrently unless there is a hint of sexual tension between us.

If/when I get erections in public, I'll adjust it so it's not entirely obvious, but can definitely still see a bulge, it's not something that I'm too concerned with and it doesn't bother me. If it bothers other people, they should stop looking at my crotch.

What about when your pants make it look like you have an erection. I have that problem a lot. Kinda like the pants tent episode from Curb Your Enthusiasm

They are most noticable in public......when they are yours. :D

and those pants that make you look like you have a hard on.....may be a blessing in disguise :p

Wife does this to me sometimes when we're in public, she gets a kick out of it I guess. Or maybe she knows it's going to lead to her getting screwed silly later on, either way it's fun for both of us. If I can do it without being too obvious I'll let her know by rubbing against her or taking her hand and putting it down here.

And most of the women I know would probably be flattered by it if they noticed a guy looking at them with one, instead of embarrassed or grossed out.

Anywas it seems to me that I get public erections when I am either really angry or annoyed... or both. Its really strange, when I'm pissed I sometimes spring a rubbery one, and when that happens that just gets me more angry!! While this does'nt happen too often it is still really bad. Also it 'comes up for a visit' when people rub my legs, and at work this one friend of mine knows this and she always comes up to me when I'm least expecting it and just runs her hands across my thighs, its pretty bad.

Usually I try to find a secluded spot for a second and I just tuck it under the belt, Im pretty sure its noticable but it makes me feel better.

I suppose that I have had a few over the years that people noticed, but I would think in general it would be uncommon for others to notice, especially as they would have to be looking at your crotch.
