There is an interesting quote from Angelina Jolie in a recent Vanity Fair article.

This is an interesting quote on many levels. First she heightens many tfp members' (men and women) fantasies in discussing her sexual relations with women.
But even more interesting is the second part of the quote ‘sinny's not right when the lights are low’.

How true. Sure, maybe we are more attracted to skinny women but when you are in bed what’s better?
She is not saying that fat is good, she is saying that skinny is bad.

I agree with Angelina Jolie on that one.... A woman's got to have the right amount of meat in the right places. Flat asses with fake silicone boobs are a major turnoff.

....But I'd probably still have sex with said 'flat ass and fake boobs'. I know; I have no principles.

A wise individual once said "...desperate situations call for desperate measures."

I guess if the choice is between unbearable celibacy and fucking a woman with a flat ass and fake tits even I would have to resort to boning the flat-assed silicone-chested girl.

I agree with Angelina. I like an athletic woman when she's got a nice healthy layer of body fat - ie. 2-3 months into winter ;). So comfy .. mmmm ... alas I digress.

While a woman with boney hips wears clothing well and can look really nice on your arm... the fact of the matter is that boney hips always end up bruising me. And I always feel like they are going to break...

My wife has big natural boobs, a nice round bum, and a nice, not too big/not too small curve around her belly.

A beautiful woman with some key insights... even if she is a little strange.

Skinny, to me, has just never been attractive... nevermind what I think she would be like in bed. Every girl I've dated has had some beautiful curves and I just don't think I could pass those up...

I like women curvy, just not TOO curvy! I'm a pretty curvy woman, I would say too curvy, Martel says just right, and I would feel wierd if I was with a woman who was short and small, or tall and thin.

For me womanly curves in any amount are key. A slender woman can be sweetly curved. A ripe woman also. On the other hand a heavy woman may just be shapeless, and a thin woman a mere rack with a stretch of flesh. In the end a lot depends on the woman herself because the animating force is what often makes one woman a hottie and another just a person in front of my eyes. That being said I don't get the eye from ladies myself so I guess my animating force is easily dismissed :(

I also agree with Angelina. Alas, I've only had one sexual experience with a woman, but she was a voluptuous one with many curves, and our time was incredibly memorable!

My man also likes me as I am (an Aussie size 12)...he can't stand the sight of skinny women and that works for me!

I suppose if I really like the girl I don't really care if she's skinny...I do however love something to hold onto I mean..Of course :D.

A couple of my lady friends and I were talking about how we need to lose weight, but we decided that skinny may look nice, but us ladies with a bit of extra stuff feel better! :D

I think there's a difference between curvy and fat. I'm a big fan of a girl with a figure - skinny girls just don't do it for me.

I also think a lot of girls seem to think they need to lose weight when they don't. It's one thing if you're an unhealthy weight, but not every girl should be super model thin. Where would guys like me turn if that were the case?

On a tangential note, am I the only one who doesn't find Angelina Jolie attractive? I can't really peg a specific reason except that she's got a bit of a porn star look to her and that's always been a turn off for me. I know it's natural, but that's not what it's about; she just doesn't do it for me.

K-Wise - well, yeah, I know she's not my type. I just have a feeling that I'm in an extreme minority on that one (possibly a minority of one). As to who does it for me.. honestly, there isn't really a hollywood actress that springs to mind. I do think that Diana Krall has just about the sexiest voice I've ever heard, though.

I don't tend to lust after movie stars the same way some people do. I did at a younger age have a crush on Drew Barrymore, but that was more of a hormonal teenage thing than anything else (as to why her, I really don't know. Having matured a bit now, I can say emphatically that she is not my type either).

You know what is hot? A woman who is freaking comfortable with her body, and not forced to comform to quotes that some female celebrity has spit out.

cellophanedeity and la petite moi, the article that I read (that referred to the Vanity Fair article) said that Angelina was saying what you are saying. She was saying that women should just be comfortable with themselves and to back that up she referred to her experiences saying that skinny isn't even nice.

And this was the reason that I posted this thread. I thought it was an interesting point of view that is not often shared by high profile people in such an honest (if it is honest) way.


Martian, I used to feel that way about Angelina Jolie. I used to not even care for her at all. But she has really grown on me. Now my mind has been completely changed.

For me curves are important, but i am more keen on a nice flat healthy tummy. That coupled with a nice ass and breasts....

I agree with Angelina as well. I think that curves are the sexiest thing about a woman. All these women getting lip injections, ass injections and fake tits just sickens me. All that fake shit is on its way out the door as far as I'm concerned. All nat-tu-ral baby!

Sticky, the point I'm making is that whether a woman is curvy or skinny, there shouldn't be a standard. Her quote makes skinny people feel awful, just like a quote from another celebrity saying that curvy women are gross would hurt curvy women.

Hardknock, women get fake tits and injections because they are TRYING to conform to society, which states that women should be extreme thin in the waist and have curves as well. Naturally, that doesn't occur very often.

Gilda is Very thin naturally and not super curvy and you know what?
I don't care what Joile says, Gilda is amazing inside and out and i think she's incredibly hot, small frame and all, she's a knockout :)

LPM, I wholly agree with you. As long as women are trying to do ANYthing to change themselves in order to please and attract others and not for themselves (and I exclude "insecurity" from being "for yourself"), there is still something wrong with this society. Fat or skinny, don't matter to me, as long as it's not for someone else or for your own insecurity.

I guess I'm a minority, but I like skinny women. Particularily with a nice flat stomach. Of course, someone can meet all your criteria and still not be attractive because of some undefinable factor. Same is true the other way around, too.

I've never found Jolie attractive at all. People fascination with her is beyond me. But, to each his/her own.
