STD from oral?
A girl and I got together and she gave me oral, the next day I found a little red bump. Is it possible to get an STD from oral sex? I haven't had any signs since, and that was 2 months ago.
Also right before, she put on some of that sparkly flavored lip gloss so do you think that might have caused an allergic reaction? |

Well you can get herpes from oral I think. Genital warts perhaps, could just be a pimple though. Ever get a pimple down there man? 2 months without signs isn't all that uncommon with an STD but hows the bump ya do have? I mean you could go to a clinic just to be sure. If it's an allergic reaction they'll give you a cream and you can be done with it. If it is an STD then the girl you got together with should be informed so she doesn't spread it further. Well for your sake I hope it's not an STD.

I'd say you probably have nothing to worry about then. Did it itch? If it did musta been an alergy to the lip gloss and went away when you showered that day.

It could have been an ingrown hair, an allergic reaction, just a plain old scratch that got irritated by being rubbed against.....
STD's don't all have symptoms; that's why you need a test. Herpes can stay dormant in the body for YEARS between outbreaks. |

A LOT of STDs can lie dormant in your system, and quite a few can trick you into thinking you're perfectly healthy. Best to be tested regularly--even if you stick with the same sex partner. When it comes to this, it's better to err on the side of caution--the majority of STDs can be treated effectively if caught early, but if not they can cause permanent damage to your reproductive organs. Be safe!

You can get STD's from oral and manual contact. If you touch your partner and then touch yourself you can spread the STD. Even condoms don't protect from all STD's. Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) also called genital warts can spread from any skin to skin contact. Studies show that 50% of all sexually active singles have this virus, which has no cure and cause cancer and sterility. So be careful!!

I believe that herpes takes 10 days or more to manifest in symptoms. The little red bump does sound like my first outbreak, though. Mine was accompanied by flu-like symptoms.
Is it possible that you contracted herpes from someone prior to this? Sometimes stress, friction, even sun exposure can bring on an outbreak. |
