just some random questions.
i have a few close friends that are females. i usually dont have a problem talking with them. most of the time they start the conversations too! ; to me this is a good sign. but i dont want to come on too strong, or annoying. what is the best way to see if a girl has interest in you? sometimes they will bump into me and smile and such. i know this may sound lame. but im pretty confused as to what to do. thanks
//edit: also the girls will sometimes talk to me about their problems. and they also talk to me about how other guys annoy them, and we'll crack jokes about other guys/other people. yes, it's pathetic for an 18yr to be asking this. but thanks in advance. |

As this thread suggests, if you're interested in a girl: go for it. There isn't a magic 8-Ball that will truthfully tell you if a girl has an interest in you, so the best way to find out is to ask her to a dinner & a movie, or something like that.
If she's already a good friend, it's best to make it something out of the ordinary, so it doesn't seem like a "friends hanging out and having a good time" thing and forces her to realize that you want it to be a date. I never took those chances in highschool and waited quite a while to have a girlfriend - and it's not worth it. Take chances, ask out the girls. What's the worst they can say, no? |

Don't push it with people that are friends. You're old enough now that chances are if they were interested they wouldn't be playing friend hoping for you to spring something on them, especially if these are long friendships we're talking about here. Talking about problems and other guys (no matter what the context) sounds like you're just one of the girls. My advice is to forget about getting with these girls and start asking their advice on hooking up with their other friends. If they really like you, they'll go out of their way to talk you up to their girlfriends.
