Long hair on guys?

Hello, all. I am a high school senior, and I've always been really interested in growing my hair out long...probably to about shoulderblade length. I haven't been able to do it yet because my school doesn't allow long hair, but I'll be graduating in five months, so I can start growing now! But I'm really not sure if I want to go through with it.

My question, mainly to the ladies, is this: what is your general opinion of long hair on guys? Do you think it looks nice, or do you think it's ugly? Is there any special style on guys that you prefer (i.e. ponytail, braided, loose, etc.)? Do you recommend highlights or anything of the sort?

Also, from the women, what would you recommend as the best way to keep that hair healthy? I've heard that a mild shampoo combined with a good conditioner tends to do the trick.

Thanks a lot!

Val_1 12-11-2004 09:12 AM

I'm not a lady, so I woun't vote. But when I was younger I had hair down to the middle of my back. It definitely worked on the ladies. It just depends on the type of woman you want to attract. If you learn to play a bit of guitar it'll help sell the look. Ponytails are not really cool anymore, but as long as you don't wear one with a sport coat, jeans, and a thin gold hoop in your left ear you should be fine.

Painted 12-11-2004 09:25 AM

Waitaminute, your school don't allow long hair? Not even on girls? Sorry, that was stupid. But seriously, they don't allow long hair on guys? What kind of rule is that? I had long hair all through out high school, no one gave a damn.

amire 12-11-2004 09:59 AM

*sigh* I know, it really stinks. It's a private, all-boys high school, and they're rather snooty about their dress code stuff. I have no idea why they've made that rule...I personally can't stand it. But it's a small price to pay, I think, for there aren't any comparable schools in my area in terms of academics...in my city, the public schools stink (as opposed to places like NYC and New England, where public schools are just fine).

gh0ti 12-11-2004 10:05 AM

I got the type of hair that simply fro's if it grows out to long. I have to keep it military style. *shrugs* I guess it's low maintenance, I don’t ever have to comb/brush or anything it in the mornings ;-)

It would be cool to be able to grow it down to my shoulders, if I had they kind of hair that would do it.

omega2K4 12-11-2004 10:44 AM

Well, I voted yes, because I have long hair and I've had no complaints about it from the ladies.

Giltwist 12-11-2004 11:12 AM

I voted yes because I used to have short hair, and being lazy I let it grow out a little bit, and peopel said it looked better. So I kept letting it grow and kept getting more compliments. Now its like 15 inches long and I love it. The best part is that the ladies like playing with it when its well-brushed and silky :)

Mmmm hairpets...

flstf 12-11-2004 11:19 AM

I had hair down to the middle of my back for about 10 years until last year. I mainly grew it that long because it felt cool to ride my Harley with it flappin in the wind. I finally decided to make a big change and walked into a barber shop in Deadwood S.D. during bike week and got a buzz cut. Shorter hair is much easier to take care of. The long hair is always getting into your eyes and I had to wear a bandana or head band almost all the time.

I used to use horse shampoo, the stuff they use to wash their manes. It is good for getting out all the tangles when you ride. I can't remember the name but you can get it at many animal supply stores. I got the idea from some girls who used it and recommended it.

snowy 12-11-2004 12:45 PM

I love guys who have longer hair. It doesn't even have to be that long...chin-length is good...longer is better, though. Just keep it from being too greasy and use the appropriate conditioner for your hair type. My guy friend has really fine curly hair that he keeps silky smooth with Aussie Moist. That combined with a light leave-in conditioner (think Paul Mitchell's the Conditioner or Infusium 23) should be enough for most hair types for daily use; the trick is to wash only your scalp and let the shampoo rinse through the rest of your hair on most days. Really wash it and deep condition it once weekly. :)

K-Wise 12-11-2004 12:50 PM

I've always wondered what I would look like with long hair...but it's a little too much work if you ask me. Conditioner? Horse shampoo? Yeah sounds like a bit of a chore. I got the spikey hair/messy look and girls like that too. I get hair pets a lot too...gotta say it's fun...cept guys feel compelled to wave their hands across the top too :|

Asta!!

KungFuGuy 12-11-2004 12:57 PM

i had long hair. still do actually. if you grow it out make sure you get it cut every now and then, just to keep it even and what not. I didn't have it cut for two years, just kept letting it grow and grow, and while it didn't look bad, it could have looked better had i done more maintenance on it aside from shampoo/conditioner.

Rodney 12-11-2004 12:59 PM

I'm nearing 50, and have nearly always had longish hair. Lately, my hair is longer than it ever was, and my wife wouldn't have it any other way.

When I switched to the teaching profession, I started tying my hair in a ponytail to keep it out of my eyes as I bent over to deal with one of the little tykes. The ponytail keeps the hair neat and tightly pulled in place, so most of the time my hair is actually neater and less trouble than it ever was when it was only medium-long. I wash it once every three days or so, give it a quick spritz of hairspray in the morning after it's brushed back and tied back. That's it.

At night when I'm just hanging out at home, I let it hang loose; it now goes down to my shoulderblades. My wife thinks it's sexy as hell.

What I'm saying is, women find long hair sexy _if it's well managed._ If you have a nature wave in your hair, women with straight hair will sometimes come up and make envious comments; it happens to me.

Psycho Dad 12-11-2004 02:38 PM

I always liked mine when it was long, but lately I'll get a whim to shave it bald. Some ladies seem to like that too. But please avoid the mullet at all costs.

Livia Regina 12-11-2004 02:53 PM

It depends on the man. Some men look very sexy with long hair and some men look very scuzzy. I prefer not shoulder length but longer than buzz cut. Something like Brendan Fraser in The Mummy. If you have nice hair and already are a bit sexy then you will look really good. If you are ugly and have bad hair, you'll just look worse. Use a shampoo and conditioner (avoid the 2 in 1 bottles) and everything will be alright.

Absolutly. There is nothing sexy about a mullet man.

jaded 12-11-2004 03:16 PM

Sure it depends on the man, but usually to me short is better. Also I have found that if I find a man attractive in long hair, then I\'ll find him attractive with short hair as well, but not vice versa.

present_future 12-11-2004 04:59 PM

My hair is about shoulder length, and all the girls her at college love it. At parties, they'll come up and just start playing with it. I have no complaints.

Rlyss 12-11-2004 05:29 PM

I had long hair throughout my last year of high school and my first year of university, and I'd never do it again. It was shoulder length by the time i got it cut (to about an inch and spiky). I seem to be the only guy who doesn't like long hair, and the type of women it attracted.

I didn't like the maintenance and how it always got in the way and I especially didn't like how it made me look like a stoner, even when clean and cut nicely and I was dressed formally. I just have that type of face, I suppose, and combined with long hair I looked like a junkie.

When I say I didn't like the women it attracted, that's not strictly true, but I must say that a lot of women were attracted to the hair. They assumed I was some guitar-playing indie kid (which I wasn't) but also that many would go crazy when I mentioned getting it cut. I got sick of it early on but kept it partly because so many people liked it like that and said it looked good. Not so much bowing to peer pressure, just hearing that people liked that look and me thinking that's fair enough. Anyway, when I eventually got it cut a lot of people missed it, they missed the indie-rock shit that was never there in the first place. This was all during my first year at university so there's some room for stupidity and peer pressure and a focus on image.

fuzyfuzer 12-11-2004 05:33 PM

i had long hair for three years before i cut it into a mullet for one day for our mullet themed pep rally the last week of senior year, i was the main attraction thank you very much. i am now in the process of growing it out. one of themajor things is to still get it cut slightly while you growing it, it makes it look much better and more ballanced and you can get to the length you want much quicker. i personally like my hair just passed the bottom of my ear lobes. i like that since thats where my wave in my hair is well defined.

Ananas 12-11-2004 05:33 PM

I like men with longer hair, but only if the hair is well-kept and groomed.

Sexy, very sexy, especially when the hair brushes my thighs or back.

skinnymofo 12-11-2004 05:43 PM

i used to have semi long hair (was about shoulder length)
but when my hair gets longer it starts to curl. It seemed pretty mixed with the girls. about half of them said leave it long it looks cool, and the rest said cut it short. My boss this summer saw some of my older pictures on my camera and said she likes long hair on guys but i dont look good with long hair so its a tough call. Also i never had it in a pony tail do to the curl it would always end up over my shoulder and i would be, um uncomfortable with it.
i was also told i look like jesus and all the women in my family were jealous of the curls ;p

indigochild111 12-11-2004 09:47 PM

When I was younger I never liked the look of guys with long hair. I figured that I just couldn't be attracted to it. But when I met Elwood, he had longer hair than I did, and it was cute and curly. He always used to wear it down, and I thought he'd look kinda dorkish with it tied back, but one day he showd up at my house with it loosely tied back and it was HOTT!! It was kinda funny because for a while my hair got shorter and his got longer. He cut it a couple months ago, and since he has curly hair I think it looks so cute short. But I like it either way. Incidentally I think he's growing it long again.

KnifeMissile 12-11-2004 10:22 PM

I won't vote but I had long hair for quite some time and I think it attracted many women.

I let my hair grow down just a little past my waist and a lot of girls thought that was really sexy. I have strong, thick, straight, china doll hair and, if I wore a skirt, people would mistake me for a woman (hey, I was in university). I washed it twice a week with any old shampoo (probably Head and Shoulders) and used a leave-in conditioner just after washing. It took quite a while for my hair to look or smell oily and washing and drying that much hair was a bit of a chore, hence the frequency with which I did.

I can't help but think that there are women out there who won't like long hair on a guy, regardless of how nice the hair is. I can attest that there are girls who feel the opposite so I guess it's just a matter of what you think...

la petite moi 12-11-2004 10:24 PM

I'm a lady, and blech.

lazygirl 12-12-2004 07:50 AM

love it!!!

Grasshopper Green 12-12-2004 08:14 AM

Hubby had long hair when I met him, and I loved it. He has short hair now, and I still love it ;) The trick is to make sure it is well groomed; stringy, greasy hair is NOT attractive on men or women! As for shampoos, I've tried all kinds, and stuff you can get at the supermarket works just as well as high priced brands; I like L'oreal Vive shampoos or Pantene.

hiro-acid 12-12-2004 08:53 AM

Being a hippie, I'm all for long hair (sadly, mine has only a year's growth at current, but it's a big change from the caesar-cut I sported for 5 or 6 years). Definitely takes more time caring for it, and all the static electricity in the air is killing me (winters are really dry here), but I'm damn determined to see it past my shoulders. Good luck with your hair experiment, and beware of anyone reccomending a pony tail... you probably wouldn't want to turn into pony-tail yuppie scum. Ugh, I hate those guys.

As far as it being popular with the ladies, I get alot more compliments about my hair now that I ever did before. :)

cjayemail 12-12-2004 09:14 AM

i had long curly hair about shoulder length for a couple years and the ladies would die for it. Now I have dreadlocks of about the same lengths and the girls go even crazier for it, chicks dig dreads, and i love em more than anything

Pacifier 12-12-2004 10:55 AM

my hair is ~27 inches now,
the girls usually like it, sometimes girls with long hair gets jealous :LOL
although it is some wort of work, short hair is much easier in the morning.

Carno 12-12-2004 11:19 AM

I really dislike long hair on guys.. I think it just looks gross.

stevie667 12-12-2004 11:42 AM

I used to have shoulder length golden blonde hair, and it did have a somewhat large attraction potential with the ladies, but the stuff was so damned thick (it's currently 2" long and bolt upright without any kind of gel, and it just refuses to do anything else) that i eventually got it cut off to make my life easier.

Silly mistake really, I think i might grow it out again, i do miss women playing with it (excusing the pun).

anti fishstick 12-12-2004 07:24 PM

yes! I always tell Will he should grow his hair out again if he can.

I'm not *always* attracted to long hair on men. Sometimes I think short hair looks better... But I love it on Will and...Johnny Depp. :o And so far, I think they're the only two that can pull it off. :D

splck 12-12-2004 07:47 PM

Long hair on guys looks effeminate and silly to me. Not nice, I know, but the truth;)

Rinndalir 12-13-2004 09:49 AM

I'm a guy with long hair. I first grew it out in high school as I hit my rage against the machine/down with the man phase. I was one of the geeky uncool nerdy guys at my school so growing it out just made me a geek with long hair. But the next year I tranferred to a new school and within a month I had my first girlfriend ever. The hair was what made her notice me but then again I also had an attitude change from wallflower to more outgoing and confident, it was a big "starting over" time for me.

Long hair doesn't automatically make you a chick magnet but if you can pull it off it can help. Every girlfriend I've ever had including my wife was first attracted by the hair, and girls who are put off by it probably aren't my type anyway. :) Even with the ring on I've had chicks I've known for like 5 minutes, meeting at a party or whatever, ask to play with my hair. Its great. And if I cut it off my wife would kill me, not that I would, there's nothing quite like just sitting and having a woman play with your hair.

What's funny is people automatically assume I'm a hippy - and I'm a salary 8-5 M-F suburbanite, I usually vote Republican and I've only smoked pot once in my entire life.

Dale Kemp 12-13-2004 10:59 AM

The bible says the "hair is the glory of the woman." Yeh, I know. Very few of your TF'ers care a whit about what the bible says. But I view that passage as an indication that it is just natural for the ladies to wear hair significantly longer than the men.

I think that's why long hair on men is considered a gay look by many people. It is effeminate. And that's why really short hair or bald looks are considered "butch" or dyke-ish on women. It's in our genes. Been codified in the bible. Millenia of history behind it, too.

Livia Regina 12-13-2004 01:27 PM

The Vikings had long hair. Speaking of the Bible, what about Samson? Pippin the Short deposed the last Merovingian king by cutting his hair and throwing him in a monastery. The Merovingians wore their hair long as a sign of their kingship. The Pippinids wore their hair short to show that they were not Merovingians. The length of men's hair depends on the society. The style in the 1700s was for men's hair to be just past shoulder length and held back in a ponytail. It's really got nothing to do with the Bible or any sort of tradition - it's more fashon than anything. At the moment it is the fashon for men's hair to be short. Wait a few years.
Does anyone know if women have always had longish hair or if there are cultures where the woman keep their hair short?

Knoweffects 12-13-2004 03:39 PM

i use to have hair down to the small of my back, had the whole new age hippy thing going, no one said shit till i cut it all off (live in so cal, was more of a "hey its 105 out and this hair shit aint cutting it no more) then like every girl i knew was like AWW I LOVED YOUR LONG HAIR ><

Not to single you out mate, but that's what I mean! Past girlfriends have always loved the long hair and have had real problems when I cut it short, or mentioned it, or grew it out a little and then got it cut again. It was almost like long hair defined me, and that getting my hair cut was something I had no right to do since it was long when I met her. I can just imagine if my girlfriend got her hair cut, me complaining about it would (rightly) get me kicked out and a lecture on male oppression of women.

But maybe those girls are just the type I don't want anyway...

Well I consider it a fair trade because I refuse to let my wife get her hair cut...it just looks soooo good long, she can pull off short hair but long looks so much better. Actually I feel that way about most women. There are a few that do look better with it cut short but to me most women look sexier with long hair. I look at it like this, if a guy has long hair then great for him, but on a woman beautiful long hair is like a work of art. And you wouldn't just walk into the Louvre and paint over Mona Lisa so why would a girl hack off her hair if it looks so good on her long???

Sexist attitude, probably, do I care, hell no :)

I'm a guy, I voted no. I hate when my hair gets long. I used to buzz it, now I buzz it a bit longer :p I'm straight, so I don't really care if other guys hair is long, as long as it doesn't get in my way or in my food or smell bad.

Effeminate? I've got long, curly hair (reaches between my shoulder blades), and I've never heard it to be effeminate. Then again, I'm a bigger guy (6'2"). The beard might have something to do with it too.

While we're on the subject, anyone who knows more about hair have any shampoo/conditioner recommendations for my kind of hair (curly, very thick)? I like the curls (and the jealous remarks they get from the girls), just trying to find a way to keep the frizz down. I'm using some Vive conditioner for curly hair, and it seems to do alright. Wondering if anyone knows anything better.

Citre Shine shampoo and conditioner. I used to get it because it was the only shampoo that didn't have Cetyl alcoho. They started adding it a few years ago. It isn't as good, but it still does better than others because there isn't as much as in other shampoos.

The curl vive is good, I also like the Dove extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. When you condition your hair, run a wide toothed comb thru it,and leave the conditioner on for a few minutes, that distributes the conditioner where it needs to go. Then rinse with cool water. (makes it shiney) Touching your hair causes frizz, so once you have dried your hair (and you dont need to blowdry) just don't touch -- and the frizz should not be a problem.

It coats hair and slows water evaporation. Unfortunately, it dries out hair and leaves a slight film on it. If you're picky about details, hair feels softer and more natural without it. I'm mildly OCD and one thing that bothes me is if my hair isn't smooth and clean. Most people won't even notice. Another reason I like Citre Shine is because it doesn't give me dandruff (since my skin doesn't dry out with it,) and unlike anti-dandruff shampoos it doesn't have pyrithione zinc, which has been linked to the early onset of alzheimer's diesease.

I think that some Herbal Essences products are also alcohol-free. The only ones I have are printed in chinese, so I couldn't tell you right now.

I love guys with long hair, its always been a favorite look of mine. I think you can wear it either just down or back in a ponytail, both looks are alright. I would't mess with any type of highlighting or coloring though, I would just leave it at your natural hair color. Go for it!

Long hair on men (now in the form of a poll)

Hello, all. I am a young guy and have started growing out my hair to about mid-back length. I've been wondering how others on the TFP view long hair on men, so I thought I'd put up a poll.

From what I've read on this and other forums, long-haired men have a tendency to attract certain types of women. They tend to be the alternative, quirky type.

Long-haired men also apparently have a number of stereotypes associated with them. It seems that most people associate long hair with either an engineer, a hippie, or a biker.

ShaniFaye 07-14-2005 10:12 AM

I think the pictures of Dave will prove I prefer it LONG...really long

la petite moi 07-14-2005 10:30 AM

To me, short hair is cleaner and looks more kempt.

Squishor 07-14-2005 10:31 AM

I'm just not attracted to guys with short hair or no hair. I mean, the hormones simply don't fire up at all. Longish-short hair is okay though. Just not buzzed, super-short or shaved, ever.

StanT 07-14-2005 10:33 AM

Before applying for my present job, I cut my hair by more than 2 feet. While I could probably get away with any length now, a ponytail on balding guy isn't the look I'm going for. I prefer it long, but will defer to mother nature.

snowy 07-14-2005 10:47 AM

I like longish hair on guys, especially when well-maintained. Mm. Sexy.

Short hair just looks too uptight to me.

ShaniFaye 07-14-2005 10:48 AM

while I prefer long hair....I have seen one or two bald men in my life that got the juices flowing!!!

short, long, straight, curly, full head of hair, bald, shaved.... It's all good... the only thing that makes me go.... :cringe: is the dreaded combover... Bald and balding can be very sexy... grass does not grow on a busy street -- so ergo - bald = intelligence and intelligence is oh so sexy... :)

Just no combovers... please.... ever... that's just wrong...

Daniel_ 07-14-2005 11:13 AM

At 18 I had mine cropped (80s flat top).

At 21 I had it long (90's rock god) - it turns out tat my hair grows long and glossy and dead straight. It got to about lower back length.

At 26 I decided that one day I'd be old enough for it to be stoopid, so I got it cut into a generic #2 crop back and sides, and a scissor cut over the top.

The guy I shared an office with nearly swallowed his tongue when I came in. :D

Damn, I have all my hair.... must mean my street is a dead end that hasn't been travelled in years.....

I used to have long hair and love having it, and in all honesty, (and I know many eyes will roll and laughter will be heard by many screens) I like MULLETS. I am a child of the 80's, it was by far my favorite decade (I guess everyone's teen years are tho, maybe it's the innocence and beginning to see who you are)

My problem now is I had to get a haircut for an interview a few months ago and the hair is very slow in growing, used to grow very fast.

I agree about comb overs.

Anyway, I've rambled and I appologize.

I have rather long hair (~27 inch). I think it depends on your type How it looks. Let it grow a bit and see how it looks.

and the stereotype thing also depends on how you dress, not just the hair.

JustJess 07-14-2005 11:23 AM

I love hair. Yep. Short red and curly to long dark and straight, I don't care, as long as you pick something that suits YOU. You can tell when someone isn't feeling the same things their hair is feeling.

Grow it out, and see! (Q, I'm talkin' to you too, mister!)

Sweetpea 07-14-2005 11:23 AM

There wasn't an option for "it depends on the man"

some guys can pull it off, some can't, so it depends if i like it or not on a specific person :)

I voted no, because in 99% of cases, it's probably not going to match up with a overall 'style' that I personally find attractive.

Some guys can pull it off. But, still ...

Some shagginess can work ... depends ..
by shagginess I mean, still above the shoulders.

hm, don't like no hair either ...

hair adds to a person's style, and I'm a fan of aesthetics ...

Because it's worth 1000 words:

That's me just out of the shower. When my hair dries, it has a bit more volume to it than that. Reaches about the middle of my back.

I've never heard that before...that is hilarious.

ruggerp11 07-14-2005 02:50 PM

Mine is getting long, its probably six inches or so down to the tip of my nose or the middle of my neck. My problem is that I have curly hair so when it started getting long I had hot ass hockey hair (girls seemed to like it) now I'm just shaggy McGoo. I am getting it cut on Friday.

Pretty much my length right there, except I have bangs and my hair can get a little more curly. The best way I can describe it is a Jimmy Page hair style.

Minx 07-15-2005 12:16 PM

It all depends on the guy - just like some women look really great with short hair while others just can't pull off the look.

For myself - I have a huge tendency to lean towards guys with short hair. I just love running my hands through it. Mmmmmmm. *purr*

phunktastic 07-15-2005 01:54 PM

I had mid-back length hair for a few years (grew out during most of highschool, was at its longest senior year and the first year and a half of colllege). I eventually got tired of it and cut it all off. I think I look much better now without it. Maybe it just didn't work for me. I had a few girls compliment me on it, though, and one seemed a little upset when I cut it.

So I guess it just depends on the girl.

Beccarain 07-15-2005 09:47 PM

As others have mentioned, ultimately it depends on the guy; some look completely dorky with long hair and others can wear it long and look good. Personally, in general I find clean cut guys way more attractive. In high school most of the girls were all about the surfers (who just looked gross to me; I wanted to tell them to go wash their hair for crissakes).

One pet peeve of mine, besides the infamous combover, is when a guy needs to shave his neck!

Mister Coaster 07-16-2005 08:00 AM

Since it looks like long hair is winning... Here's some pix of me. I normally am very presentable, combing my curly locks back and wearing my hair in a pony tail...

And here's my insta-impression of Sabertooth from the first X-Men movie...

you have some beautiful hair there... mister coaster... :)

Johnny Pyro 07-18-2005 12:47 PM

I have long hair and the ladies love it. My mother hates it.

MikeyChalupa 07-18-2005 12:58 PM

I wore it long in high school and in college. I've grown up now, plus I'm in the Navy which limits my hairstyle choices anyway. I'll never go back to long hair, it's just an inconvenience that I'm glad I don't have anymore.

I have a hair fetish. I dream of long haired men brushing it, letting me run my fingers through it, feeling alight against me in those tender moments *sighs* More long haired men, please!

bobillydylan 07-20-2005 03:51 AM

i love having long hair, ive found people tend to stare at my hair because its scruffy lol but who cares, my ex girlfriend loved it

I think that's why long hair on men is considered a gay look by many people. It is effeminate. And that's why really short hair or bald looks are considered "butch" or dyke-ish on women. It's in our genes. Been codified in the bible. Millenia of history behind it, too.

But all those pics of Jesus with long hair? heh using the bible to base opinions is a scary thought to me.

oh and I have had both long and short hair several times,(long now) and I gotta say both have advantages and disadvantages. I equate having long hair with being bald in a way.....in that you can wake up and boom brush let hang, boom your done. if you bald....well there ya go.

When I have had hair in that inbetween stage i have to use moose and or hair gel and sit in front of the mirror and screw with it to get it to take on a style that I dig. I am a liberal so I choose long hair

Prince 07-20-2005 11:49 PM

Wow, an old thread.

I don't think long hair looks particularly good on most men. But it does on some (Prince ^^;).

Do what you feel like.

And if a school "bans" long hair, they.are.fucking.morons.

Martian 07-21-2005 12:52 AM

bobillydylan - before I read your post I was wondering why you were posting a picture of Keith Richards...

Long hair on guys? Some guys can pull it off, some can't. I crop my hair because I don't think it'd look good long and I prefer the low maintenance that goes along with not having much hair. If you want long hair though, then I say go for it.

You're the one who will wear it every day, so it's your call to make. But it's not as though it's a permanent thing either. If it's just not working for you, you can always cut it all off again.

Rinndalir 07-22-2005 12:29 PM

I have a pact with my wife, long as I don't cut mine she won't cut hers. That way we're both happy. Sex can get pretty wild with all that hair flying around but it's worth it.

Women love playing with it, I've had random chicks that I just met ask me if they can, it's great

In order to understand why I have both long hair and facial hair, compare these two pictures. The small one (old webcam) was taken on June 21 2004. The big one was taken 5 minutes ago. I dare anyone to try to convince me that I looked better a year ago.

edit: in fact, I can do one better and replicate the facial expression and angle of the old pic. The challenge still applies.

optik_nerve 07-24-2005 08:19 PM

I wish I had long, rockin' hair...cause than I would headbang and do the windmill and shit and not look like a total moron.

If I were to grow it out it just becomes poofy and lame. Short hair for me, but cool if it looks good.

Marvelous Marv 07-24-2005 08:29 PM

A friend and I dressed up as professional wrestlers one Halloween. We wore Spandex and long wigs.

It was amazing. In bars, normally standoffish women couldn't wait to talk to us. Although we were both in good shape, it was the hair, not the Spandex.

By the end of the evening, guys were offering to buy our wigs.

So you won't convince me that most women don't like long hair on guys.
