Well, this is kind of the opposite idea to pretty much every other thread in this whole section. I thought this should go here, but if any mods think it should be moved please feel free to do so.

So, a couple years ago, I really started to delve into studying psionics, and as I experimented and really focussed on these studies, I found that I became less and less attracted to women. It's gotten to the stage now that I don't notice girls in a sexual way at all, or find myself daydreaming about sex etc etc...

My loss, you might say ;) Ah well, it doesn't bother me overly. I get more joy from pursuing other interests and it leaves me much spare time. What does everyone think of this 'condition'? Unhealthy? Maybe. Thoughts please.

How exactly did psionics help you achieve this state? And are you satisfied?

I wouldn't say I used psionics to 'acheive' it, it was just a side effect of delving so heavily into it. I didn't aim to become anything at all.

This reminds me of when George stopped having sex, and it increased his intelligence momentarily.

Personally, I'd rather be dumber and fuck 'til I'm blue.

I'm kind of at a stage where I would like to study/learn more about psionics. Ive always felt a little clairvoyent. To me it feels like the kind of thing you have to understand to be able to grasp, and I dont know enough about it to really be able to use it to its full potential. Things just come to me in dreams, or I just get a weird feeling and I know something is going to happen. Its weird but I want to know how to use it.

Could you have found (or brought yourself into) a mental state where sex isnt important anymore? If you are at peace and have a mental understanding then to a certain extent things that mattered before may no longer be important.

it seems to me if you are using your energy elsewhere then some things you previously enjoyed might drop off. a major part of your psychic/spiritual energy is sexual. it would make sense that you would have tapped this energy source.

By the mere fact you are cogniscent of the decline and you write and frequent this forum, sex is still part of your mind set. You are just channeling your energy elsewhere. The right situation will send a spark.

Thats a really interesting idea. Sexual energy is some of the most potent stuff around... makes sense.

Shit dude, if you're happy I would say you can probably save a lot of time and effort by not noticing or pursuing women. We should all be so lucky.

Yes, certainly. I still hang out with chicks, I'm just not attracted to any of them.
There's one other place I've noticed this actually: in the mosh pit.
When I'm going ballistic with a whole bunch of other people who couldnt give a damn cos they know the person next to them has to be making a bigger dick of themselves then they are, the IS no gender. Everyone is just... people. And people having a good time at that. It's an awesome feeling.
