Ladies Lounge question for the Men....
So, how many of you guys read our stuff? How many of you get turned on by doing so? Just how many of you feel like a voyeur while viewing our little section, and in turn get even more aroused because of this?

I've caught myself reading one thread in there, but that was because it was on the 'new posts' list, and I didn't realise it was in Ladies Lounge.
Other than that, I try to stay out of there because, for the most part, none of it pertains to me. |

I've always been very interested in women, and not just their obvious physical charms. I'm quite fastinated by the female psychological differences too. So I often visit the Ladies Lounge. But it doesn't "turn me on" to read what is discussed. Well, maybe a little bit by the thread about the breast augmentation plans of one TF'ette. I hope she is well pleased with the results, but I wouldn't want any woman I know to feel any need to alter herself so drastically.
It is quite interesting that there is no gentlemen's lounge.

I read it, there's some interesting stuff in there. Just don't post (if you're a guy), you might be castrated afterwards.

I'm there quite often, not so much for the arousal purposes but for knowlege gain. Call me weird, but I try to predict what you ladies would say to a question being asked before actually reading the responces. More often than not, my prediction are wrong. Reading Ladies Lounge is facinating in a sense that the ideology and replies often differ on certain topics (such as sex).

I have lurked there on occasion, mostly out of curiousity. I know better than to post there myself. My wife has posted a couple of things there and I have been interested to read her input on the various topics.
Here is a point that might deserve its own thread... or not. We were discussing how much of what gets written in Ladies Lounge or elsewhere on this board is true to life. Do you think that posts in the Ladies Lounge are more open and honest then posts elsewhere on the board since it is supposed to be women writing to other women? My wife contends that some people support a certain point of view or attitude on the boards because it will get them more attention. For example, a woman might claim that she loves swallowing her lover's cum thinking, and rightly so, that men on the board will see the post and praise her for it. My contention is that people ultimately have little to gain from being dishonest in these forums and so are likely to speak their mind as freely and truly as they would in face-to-face conversation, perhaps even more so. I further held that the Ladies Lounge might also encourage women to be more open and frank in their discussions with each other. But is this negatively affected if the women posting there know that men are lurking in the shadows, so to speak? |

I used to read it - back when I first joined oh so long ago. However, I kept having to restrain myself from jumping into threads and giving my opinion, so I finally decided I wouldn't visit it anymore - and haven't been back sense.
However, there were a lot of very interesting discussions I remember reading |

I read there constantly, sometimes intentionally, sometimes by coincidence (I usually surf via the 'new posts' button at the top, and that includes the LL). It doesn't turn me on any more than the rest of the discussion forums on this board .

Truthfully...I try to stay the hell out of there. It...frightens me. It reminds me of when I used to hang with a pack of "gal pals", and I was the only guy in the group. I was constantly having to remind them; "Hey! Guy here!"
The only time I read a Ladies Lounge thread is when I accidently trip over it while browsing "New Posts". That said, the one that the ladies have going now about which hot women celebrities they'd like to "do" is kind of a turn on. Other than that...uh-uh, no way.

I read posts there regularly for two reasons.
first of all, some of the problems that are posted there by women are not problems or situations that only women need help with. Secondly, the more I understand about what is important to women, the better I can be as a man. This sounds a little strange perhaps, but I have always been very in touch with my feminine side, and I th9ink of myself as more of a feminist than many women I know. I may not have the answers, but I'm trying, and aren't we all on the same side when all is said and done. I guess a third reason would be that I do find some of the sexual conversations to be eye-opening at times, but if I really wanted to talk sex, I'd go to the sexuality forum where I can particpate. That's all. Peace, Pierre

I probably read as much in the LL as anywhere else in the board. There are many reasons:
1) Discussions sometimes touch on issues that would bore the hell out of most men. They are useful, none the less, when relating with a significant other. 2) Because I have a minor in Human Factors, the group dynamics in the LL is easier to follow because there are less people. Sorry if that makes you all feel as if you are in an ant farm. It fascinates me to watch a thread's role assignments, relationship repair techniques, and general conflict resolution. 3) It is rare to be able to see a group of women interact EXCLUSIVELY - (Sex in the City is scripted and can be taken worth a grain of salt from what I have witnessed in the LL.) As to it "turning me on", I would say....sometimes - not because of the voyeur aspect of it. There are certain members that seem to have a sexual persona that is similar to mine. So, those people typically push the right buttons. "Gaping vaginas?" Ummmm, not so much a turn on. (See item 1 in above list.) With SOME issues discussed, I think there is an inherent deficiency in limiting a discussion to a gender. In the LL, the relatively few regulars have developed such a strong sense of empathy for one another that, often, I feel as if people don't hear the responses they need to hear. However, when watching my ant farm, often the ants don't place the grain of sand where I would have put it. Then I think, "I'm no ant, what the hell do I know." I think it would be cool if the LL would allow a male to initiate a thread, and let the women comment on it. The contribution of the male would be limited to the original post via a thread request list. Let's face it, we would all love to post a question up to the opposite sex and let it take off on its own. There was a recent thread discussing the lack of involvement in the LL lately and one theorized that all the subjects had been asked and answered. Why not allow males to suggest new discussion threads? Oh, and pillow fights. Pillow fights would be good too. Last edited by Cimarron29414; 12-02-2004 at 03:08 PM.. |

I'm a 'new post' surfer as well and end up in the LL from time to time. Some of the topics have been kinda hot but some are ones I wish I wouldn't have stumbled upon.
BTW, Pinkie - I love your Panty Pen Pal idea! Too bad the other ladies don't seem to be going for it. Make it happen! I'm sure most of the fellas in here would appreciate it.

Of course there would!
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like this place is turning into a really crappy singles bar lately Anyway! As far as Men viewing the Ladies Lounge, I think it's a good idea. There are tons of things that men could learn from reading what us ladies have to say. As far as getting turned on... Well, if you like yeast infections, gaping vaginas and lumps coming out, then the Ladies Lounge is for you!
