Now if we could only get this in the US

Basically its a show where people have sex and they are critiqued. Crazy Brits... Why is the US so freaking timid about all this shit.

Is this on the BBC channel that's on Dish or DirectTV?

Furry 11-28-2004 11:47 PM

Ah, this.

This is on Channel 4, UK mainland programming. I'm not sure if you can get it where you are, but I suggest checking listings.

By the way, we also had something called "The good sex guide" a few years ago. Government pressure shut production of the series down.

They really have to learn that real life has a way of biting people in the arse when they're least expecting it.

hmmm....yea..thats just weird...

Well, I haven't seen that particular show, but there is a similar one on ShowCase, a Canadian cable station, that deals with similar issues, and even a few more explicit shows like Real Sex, etc. It's actually become kind of the skin channel, but it's all very informative and clinical, they say. Still. It's good that I can hold the remote with only one hand! :) :)

Hmmmm.. I'd watch that show.

And i love Real Sex... good show :)

Channel 4 = The channel which shows the slightly lower tone stuff. Not the respectable, professional (hah!) BBC.

Yeah! Professional! That's the ticket. And respectable? Absolutely. I mean, it's the pure pursuit of knowledge that leads them to show us naked women wrestling in hot oil, and document a pornographer who only shots sex underwater. And we are richer for the sharing of knowledge. It's true.

But tell me, what's this hair on my palms?

The US was founded by puritans...as Robin Williams once said "people so uptight the English kicked them out"

'nuff said.

Yeh, I watched that when it was on, it's on again tonight. Mildly interesting, but pretty basic and naive for the people of this board.

Redlemon 11-30-2004 11:22 AM

I did a quick Torrent search, but I didn't find any episodes of this show. I probably don't know the best places to search, however. Has anyone seen torrents of this?

Pragma 11-30-2004 01:17 PM

I haven't seen any either, Redlemon - and I'm definitely interested in downloading them after such a great review in that news article. :)

uknova.com has the episodes.

mreman4u 12-08-2004 11:43 AM

the damn fcc would never let it happen

I just watched a current affairs chat show here in the UK, and they had one of the hosts on. People were phoning in airing their opinions on it. Some liked it showing, others didn't. Let's just say the ones that did could back their opinions up, and the ones that didn't all seemed to falter and end up silent or mumbling when challenged.
