So maybe I just don't get it, I am young after all (two months away from 19), but I just don't get escort services. It sounds to me like a prostitution but apparently that's illegal just about everywhere, but escort services are not. Mind the dumb questions but its just something that's I've been curious about. Are escort services just fancily marketed prostitutes? If anyone knows (which I'm sure someone here does) buy me a clue, please. thanks in advance.

I have a buddy (and yes it's a buddy and not me) who frequently uses "Escort services". He claims that if you ask for "full service" you get just exactly that. If you have to ask what full service includes then you are likely to be denied service. He pays anywhere from $150 to $250 depending on how hard he feels like negotiating. I don't blame some guys for resorting to using escort services because dating is hard work and time-consuming. Sometimes a man just doesn't have the time and energy to spend on trying to get a woman to like him, and sometimes it's hard to find women willing to have sex so escorts provide an alternative (if it can be afforded).

Escorts operate on the principle of paying someone to accompany you, generally to a social event or somesuch (ie. a fake date). A prostitute operates on the principle of paying someone to bone you. Escorts are legal because their job description doesn't overtly state "sex", and sex is either optional, depending how much the escort likes you and of his/her own choice, or "full service" as was said before, although the full service thing is illegal, just like "full body" massage parlours.

Escorts are more than just hookers. You can get a hot date to make you look better, full service if you want sex, and I think the term is "party girl" for someone who will come to your place and get high with you (usually coke or heroin, from what I hear, and you're expected to provide some for her.)

Escort services advertise that you are buying their time with you and not their services. This is done with a nod and a wink.

They cannot advertise that they are offering sex for money so they say what you are paying for is their time... anything else that happens between consenting adults is seperate.

Some men, do use escorts to go with them to parties, dinner, etc. They almost always cap off the evening with sex. The dinner, etc. is just preamble. The men that do this tend to have enough money to spend on women they can pay to hang out with before they have sex with them...

Most men just arrange for the sex part.
