Baseball Diamond/Sex metaphor
 

Ok, I've never actually had this metaphor explained to me. Personally, I always thought using the "First base, second base" analogy was pretty lame. Why can't you just say, "She went bobbin' for cock but her dad busted in on us and asked to join" or "She just layed there with her butt in the air and I had to do all the work."? "Third base" is so non-descriptive and lame.

Anyways, please explain the whole thing to me. Or at least give me your version of it. Thanks!

my interpretation is first base being like kissing and making out. 2nd base is...hmm i don't know, maybe seeing certain body parts or clothed petting. 3rd is oral sex, fondling, fingering, etc. Home would be actually having sex. Maybe?

K, first, it's 1st base is kissing, 2nd is boobage (touching), 3rd is oral, and home run is intercourse.

Second, its for jock heads who can't seperate sports enough from interactions with women.

(No offense to jocks, I play sports myself, but you need to draw a line somewhere)

EDIT: Oh also, I just thought of a legitamate reason it may have come about, which is back in the old days one could not simply talk about sex openly, so they came up with this code.

The bases metaphor is unefective mostly because there are only four bases. Now if people were creative enough to complete the metaphor with things like: errors, getting walked, bunting, and ground rule doubles, then we would have a ball game.

I always thought football would make better analogies... touchdowns, fumbles, first downs, tackles, kick off... the possibilities are endless!

Football would be better as far as analogies go, but I think the point of the baseball scale is that is it a scale. Baseball you got four steps, with sex you basically have four steps as well, kissing, groping, licking/sucking, intercourse. If you are going to go the football route then you have to figure out 96 more things to through in there (in order to get from endzone to endzone, and how would one handle a bad punt :D). I guess you could use anal for one, maybe bondage.. but I would be hard pressed to find many more than that, well many more than that that enough people do to warrant a change in game!! :D

Just to add something new here.
In Japan they have the same thing but use A, B, and C.
I guess "I got to A" or something.

Anyhow
A = Kissing
B = 'petting'
C = fucking

This might be really old and out of style like the american system as well.
