You know, I should ask my ex-wife. She ran up several under dollars in ISP connection time 10 years ago. She met many people and travelled to several places around the U.S. to meet them. I don't think she was meeting them just for sex, though; I think she was filling a void in our relationship. Obviously, that wasn't the intent of your question... Just felt like throwing that out there. She found an IRC channel that became a second home to her. Finding a group with similar interests would be a good place to start.

Sounds sad, but the three offers I have recieved has all been from girls who were all in the same circle I was in (small irc channel, clan/guild, etc.) and I ignored. By ignoring them and really having no interest, they seemed to be interested in me. I dont remember doing a damn thing or even trying to talk to them.

Yes, several times via IRC. The last one, I ended up marrying. So it's true what they say, the whole business is fraught with peril

I never had a particular method, nor was I necessarily even looking for real-life sex, it just seemed to happen in the same way these things sometimes just happen in the progression of real life relationships. I wouldn't recommend online relationships as a "shortcut to sex" or anything, at least as I went about it; there was a large investment of time involved for me to feel comfortable with the whole idea.
