Ok, apologies if this is wrong place, I wasnt sure if it was living or sexuality, but I guess it is kind of a relationship thing, in a way...

So, what do you make of this AIM convo? Was I being wierd? It seemed to get pretty uncomfortable pretty quick... this is a girl I know really well, and maybe Im just being over sensitive, but the way it went seemed to come out of leftfield to me, I dont really get it, does it mean anything/nothing?

Well, all I can say from that is that it was a little strange that you were being so self-negative. It sounds like she's the kind of girl that would rather have fun than get drunk and wallow in self-loathing. She said she liked talking to you, so I don't see why you should worry about it. I'd just suggest that you spend less timing giving her self-depreciating lines and take her up on those late night walks and such. She obviously wants some romance, rather than just sitting around playing games, watching movies, and talking about sex. Take her out, be spontaneous. Next time she says, "Well, we could do something..." Respond with, "Ok, how about right now, I'll pick you up in 10 minutes" or something. That's my take on it... hope it was of some help.

Why would you call yourself a loser? She doesn't want to get drunk with you, but she appears to want to do other things with you -- like go for a walk, and talk...

From the little bit I see here, she appears to like you , and it sounds like she's interested in perhaps dating you. But you seem to be interested in your signature.

She may be serious and annoyed by your joking. The problem is that without knowing her, I haven't a clue. And it doesn't help that its an IM convo... cant tell tone of voice or anything... (threaten to beat her if she doesn't use emoticons ;) )

Most likely, you're just over reacting. Most likely, she won't think any thing of it, especially if she thinks you were drunk(?).

Two posts whilst I was writing. I disagree on the negativity part of both. Once again, I cant tell seeing how its the interweb, but it sounds like you were just joking around about the loser part, and she caught onto it. Re-reading the convo though, I agree that she is interested in you, and if you are in her(interested, that is :crazy: ) be serious when she says stuff like My four cents?

I really don't think she was actually bothered in any way at all. To be honest, you're reading way too much into it. She seems like a person who is friendly with you and would like to hang out a bit more in person. And who just wanted to be sure you were joking ;)

yah.. i don't see anything wrong with the convo. Although like someone said, without knowing the person it's kind of hard.

I would say that she seems interested, at least half interested, even if she has a bf or whatever. I'd say joke around with her, but next time she mentions going out or doing something seemingly romantic you take her up on it.

I think the conversation went south when you kept making jokes during a "serious" time. She gave you 5 things to do for a serious date but you skipped around it, continuing to joke- which seems a little cowardish to me.

I think confidence (no "i'm a loser" talk) and honesty (sincerity) would have won you a date or something very much like it.

yeah the ideal thing to do with a girl is play GTA :p
