How common are rape fantasies?
 

I know its a 'given' that women and men don't WANT to be raped, obviously, but how common is it to fantasize about it either alone or with your SO?

I admit, I have fantasized about both being forced and forcing another and it makes a great fantasy sometimes.

I've never fantasized about being raped. Now I feel like I'm missiing out on something. I don't think I've ever raped anyone in my dreams. In my dreams, pretty much everyone puts out consentually[sic]; I never imagine Heidi Klum or whoever saying "Stop!" That would be awful.

"Rape fantasies" rarely exist in the literal sense. As in, rarely does a person ever fantasize about being forced to have sex when they do not want to.

Now, fantasizing about being dominated while having sex is a completely different thing and is more common.

I've never had such a fantasy (to either rape a woman or be raped by a woman), and I honestly doubt I'd ever get in such a situation where a woman would want me so badly that she'd force me into having sex with her.

I agree with SecretMethod.....I used to have fantasies all the time about being dominated and being "made" to have sex also fantasized about sex at knife point....fortunately I dont have to fantasize about that anymore since I can have it that way anytime I want :)

No fantasies of rape, or domination, for that matter. I dunno. I guess I like it the ol` fashined way. Mind you, it's not only me. I've never heard any of my friends talk about domination fantasies. Then again, I'm not sure that it's something they'd like to share with other people.

I had a girlfriend who wanted to act out some rape fantasies... I could never really get into it though. We also found that if she was really struggling it was almost impossible to do it. At some point she'd have to give up.

I remember a news article a while back where these two people met online. The girl had a rape fantasy and this guy was going to "act out her fantasy." Of course this was doomed from the start, either she gave him bad directions to her house or he misread the directions. He ended up breaking into some other woman's house and he started to rape her. He realized she was the wrong person a little bit into it, he tried to apologize and took off but was later caught.

No fantasies really shock me anymore. Think about it, there are people who are willing to be shit on (and forced to eat it) during sex. Why would it be surprising that some people fantasize about getting raped?

If you judge this question by the number of "rape" porn sites and the amount of rape erotica available at asstr and literotica, then rape fantasy is very common.

I'm up for domination anytime, not up for rape fantasies.

Both my wife and her best friend always talk about how it would be fun for me or her friends husband (obviously just for our own wives, not each others wife) to surprise them at home and rape them. Yeah right. Both her friends husband and I agreed that we didn't want the trouble. I show up when my wife thinks I'm out and force my way onto her. Having been raped myself, I can honestly say that I do not have fantasies about being raped. However, like alot of the above posts, I do enjoy being dominated by my man, and yes being surprised by my man grabbing me and undressing me is wonderful too.

In effect the phrase "rape fantasy" is an oxymoron. But i've had a few girlfriends in my lifetime that were really into me sneaking into the house and taking them by suprise.
