6'4", no preference on girls heights...

I'm 5'6" and have dated many girls taller than me. I used to work in the entertainment industry (musician/radio personality) and had a thing for models for a while so the girl being taller never bothered me. There are girls out there of course that prefer or even insist on a taller man but thats never bothered me either. Everyone has preferences. Some people like red hair, some blue eye, some have income requirements, lots of different criteria for dating and mating. Me, I'm not crazy about really darkly tanned girls or girls with tattoos. Nothing wrong with those things, they just don't float my boat. I think too that on the personals ads many women describe their ideal. They ask for someone six foot or over but if they just met the five foot eight guy at a party and they really hit it off then maybe the height issue would dissapear.

I'm 6'5" and I've always preferred shorter girls. I don't know why I just like them. I've dated 3 girls (including the one I am starting to date now) who were 5'0" and they have all said my height was a turn on. I'm not sure why girls like tall so much but it seems to be a popular thing. My most recent ex said it was a huge turn on for her (she was 5'6"). I've gone on a couple of dates with a girl who was 6'2" and I didn't really like her that much, but it wasn't because of her height. My basic rule is just nobody taller than me...

See i think I may be one of the few guys in this world that think that height on a female is super hot! Im almost 6'2'' and i love it! My girlfriend now is 5'10'' and it makes things so much easier and i think its super hot! I would have no problem dating or being with someone that is taller than me at all, i encourage my g/f to wear heels all the time, for numerous reasons! I love legs and an ass and heels make both look a lot better!

My girlfriend had a strict rule that a guy had to be at least 6 foot tall, well I am only 5'10" and we have been together for 2 1/2 years now. I think that women (and men) get a lot of ideas what they want in a perfect guy/girl, but you just have to make them see past thier ideal image they have formed and get them to see your good points.

but anyways funny that this same topic came up on anther Mb i visit and all the women said they feel more secure with a a guy thats 6+ feet tall......i dunno why none gave anymore input when asked

I just feel safer with a nice tall guy...and I feel sexier when he wraps me up in his arms. Sorry guys, I can't handle a guy shorter than 5'10 or so....

I've never met a girl/woman who was taller than me. Problem is, being too tall scares them away in social situations.

That's great news. I'm 6'3. :D So girls, keep up with your crazy height thing, you're doing a great job. ;) From my end though, I like shorter girls too, because I guess you might say it adds to the "cute" factor. I love tiny things of all types. :D

well, i may be 5'8" but i wear a size 11 shoe. i have a buddy my height who shocks and awes all the girls too.... you shoulda seen the attention he got when he hadn't been snowboarding in awhile and his pants were too tight.

I'm 6'0 and my wife is 4'11. It makes for difficulty in the sack sometimes, not to mention the shower is out of the question. From personal experience having dated a 6'2 woman just before I met my wife, I decided shorter women were definately for me.

ok... so heres' what i've learned from starting this thread.

1) girls like guys to be tall, way tall.... 99% of the time. no matter how short they are. and even more most definitely if you're a tall girl.

2) a surprising amount of tall guys out there prefer petite women.

so therefore, if you're a guy and you're shorter than 5'10 or so, you're too short for women who are taller than you and not tall enough for women who are shorter than you. also, tall guys are primarily targeting the only demographic of girls that you actually have a chance of being just barely tall enough for.

i guess thats why they call it the short end of the stick.

Dang, I'm short and play mandolin (not a chick magnet). I don't understand the height thing. In school I dated a taller chick once. Never really thought about it before I asked her out. People would point it out when we were together. It wasn't too bad unless she wore heals and then she was out of reach.

Not all of us tall guys are into petite women. Being 6'4" and have in the past dated girls a short as 5'4", it feels like I'm having to take a bow just to kiss her. Taller women are more on an equal level.

And also being a bit of a leg man, taller women have longer legs.

plus based on the observations, it looks like there's less competition for taller women.

Height shouldn't matter, true, but for some reason, I absolutely love tall men....at least 6'. I am 5'1"; my husband is 6'4". I just have a preference for tall men. I'd take an average-looking tall guy over a totally hot "shorter" guy.

Yes, that is pretty much the short of it. ;) The potential partner population would appear to be significantly smaller for men under average height.

I don't believe there is any correspondence, or at least none that I can attest to.

I think alot of it has to do with napoleon complex. Girls dont want a guy with a "little man" attitude.
