Something odd on my genitals..
[might not want to read this if you're eating]
a little more than a month ago i noticed something strange on my scrotum.. it was kind of like this bump with something yellowish in it under the skin... i kept hoping it would go away, but it hasn't gone away, infact i think it's actually getting larger... one time i guess i kind of squeezed it, trying to get a look at it, and a little yellowish stuff (that i first thought was pus) came out... i just wanted to know if anyone knows what this could be before i bother going to the doctor about it... i still live with my parents and i go to the family doctor so i'd have to tell them and i've always been uncomfortable with situations like that (so if it's something i can treat myself or nothing serious i'd like to avoid it)

It might be an STD, but then again it might just be an ingrown hair. If there's no chance its an STD (IE: no sex), I wouldn't worry about it. That is, unless it gets big and painful.
If there is a chance its an STD go to a free clinic now and have it looked at before you infect someone else.

Good lord, go to the doctor man! Whether it's an STD or not, it ain't normal. It could be something simple like an ingrown or a pimple of some sort but why chance it? You could just tell your parents you're going in for something else. The doctor should have some kind of doctor/patient confidentiality thing right?

Probably not serious.
http://www.acne.org/regimen.html Betcha a nickle that a little beziol peroxide will clear this up. But it's a good idea to get it checked if it doesn't work in a week or two becasue it could then be a cyst, again, not serious.

STD's are NOT just transmitted by sex. There are many other sources for STDs, sex is just the MAIN way. As I said in a different thread, HPV(Human Papiloma Virus, responsible for 95% of cervical cancer), is transmitted through body fluids including sweat, so you can get it just through skin contact with another person, I think you have to have a small cut or something though to get it through a casual bump.

1. Get it checked out...but to help with a possible freak-out,
2. Chances are it's just an ingrown hair. You get zits and blemishes everywhere else you've got hair, etc....
