2nd Date
Ladies and Gentlemen...let's get ready to humble!!!!
Okay...I screwed up on my first date with this girl. We had dinner, and then...we didn't do anything. Date was over at 9:00. I've come to find out that she might have wanted to do something else that evening. However, I've not screwed up so badly that I don't get a second date. I need a good second date idea. If you all know anything about me, you know I'm divorcing and I'm trying to get back out there. Help would be appreciated. |

One additional thing to consider.
What do you all use to keep breath fresh for long periods of time? I brush, floss, brush tongue and use mouthwash, but I still get that "not so fresh" feeling (snicker, snort). My dentist compliments me every 6 months, too. I just don't know what to do other than load up on gum/altoids. |

take her to see a strange movie, or to a picknick, or spend the day at the zoo. nothing too normal.
try those listerine strips (i think?) for your breath, you can carry them in your pocket and when you go to the bathroom you have take one and have that fresh feeling

I had a first date like that once. Picked her up at 7, had her home by 8. It wasn't a bad date really, I just didn't know what to do after dinner and ended up driving her straight back to her house. To make up for it, we went on a nice hike and a picnic in the woods. I ended up in a relationship with her for a while after that.
I suggest something active where you can still talk to each other. Billiards, a walk, picnic, something like that. You don't get much of a chance to talk or get to know each other at a movie theater so I usually avoid that in the first few dates. Just do something lighthearted and fun. About the breath issue: breath strips are good. You're not sitting there chewing like a cow and they're pretty potent. Have fun and good luck! Let us know how it goes! |

Go cow tipping.
The listering strips work great, just make sure you use a flavor that she likes if you plan on kissing. Serious ideas for a date: live performance plays ice skating Orchestras putt putt

...and take the listerine strips out of your pocket when you do the wash - otherwise you have minty fresh wash -- with blue streaky things...

I have found that dinner and an art museum work great - anybody can read anything into most pieces of art, and it gives the opportunity to be as lighthearted as you want to be. For example, I am still trying to convince my friends that Monet was just nearsighted and Pollack was in advance stages of Parkinson's. I, however, am currently dateless, so you may want to keep that in mind.
