TFP minds: A couple of anniversaries fast approaching!
In a bit less than 1 month, it's my wife & mine's 4th wedding anniversary. In a bit less than 2 months, it's our 10 year anniversary of our 1st date (we kissed! :D ).
Both of our lives are EXTREMELY busy (I'm in a residency program, she's a CPA) and both are pulling in 60+ hrs/week. As I'm sure you can guess, we don't have much time for the softer side ofthings. We are planning to take a 4-5 day vacation to Mexico departing the day after our wedding anniversary. We NEED it. So, please everyone, I need tips & ideas on how to make it memorable. She felt a tad letdown by my celebration plans of her 30th birthday a few months ago and so I want to make this special. She works really fucking hard and I've moved her around the country for my education a couple times. I owe her big. Any thoughts? I'd thought about doing something with our 1st date movie (Only You) in October but no real plans yet. Help a poor guy out! Many thanks. |
Starting with the boring - 10th anniversary traditional gift is Tin, modern is aluminium (I had to look that one up, wasn't committed to memory)
I remember the movie Only You vaguely, there was something to do with a Oujai board it was the name of her true love spelled out or something. That'd be a fun way to do something. (Super Congrats on making it to ten years, especially under such circumstances, and kudos for recognizing it too) |
I thought the traditional gifts are for wedding anniversaries, not first date anniversaries.... I guess you just mis-read the post.
It's his 4th anniversary for wedding. 10th (soon) for dating. |
I apparently can't read... all the words anyhow...
Traditional 4th Anniversary Gift: Flowers Modern 4th Anniversary Gift: Linen/Silk Send her flowers at work... :) or Then send her a pretty piece of lingerie with instructions to meet you somewhere with just the lingerie -- and then go to a nice hotel for the weekend - -Nice anniversary dinner in the hotel room... and you can enjoy some time alone... then head to the airport for Mexico... |
Well the gifts for 4th wedding anniversary are flowers and fruits, so perhaps a rose petal bath, followed by a masage with floral candles (if she's into that), and finaly some fruit play involved in the foreplay.

Okie folks, we're leaving on Saturday morning to Mexico and 4th wedding anniversary is Friday. I booked a hotel for Friday night and when she gets home on Friday I'll tell her to hurry up and pack cuz we're not waiting till Saturday to leave.
There's an area near our apt that everyone within a few blocks has to drive by in order to get anywhere. People always put billboards up there wishing happy birthday, etc. I think I'll put up a sign there so she sees it on her way out Friday mourning. Or maybe I should save that for our 10 year 1st date anniversay NEXT month. I bought a sensual massage book to take with to Mexico. I'm even considering giving my groin a trim in an effort to get her to shave it all. :D She definitely won't shave it with a blade but I might get her to do with our electric razor. Not sure how I can sneak an electric razor through security. Any other tips? Much appreciated! |
