Ok, what the hell is this?
I woke up this morning and my lil guys were hurting pretty bad. I wrote it off and sleeping the wrong way and they were just achy. After going to the bathroom a few times, I noticed blood in my urine. After a few times, the pain started to come down a bit, but still I'm worried.
I searched WebMD to see what they said on blood in urine but all they had to say was "could be this, could be that, diet, disease, etc" but nothing about the pain that Im feeling + blood in the urine. A friend suggested possibly that it was a small kidney stone, but I thought that was a urethra deal, not testies? I haven't done anything to push myself beyond normal limits or had sex or masturbated since saturday. The only thing out of the norm is I got a bee sting yesterday when I was cooking dinner on the grill, which I'm 100% sure has nothing to do with this. I made a Dr Apt for this afternoon and can't wait to go to see if they can do something about it. Any thoughts? |

Doesn't sound like kidney stones... That's a kind of pain would not be desribed as achy. Generally that borders on Excruciating...
You're made the right call and going to the doctor.. Good luck...

Kidney Stone. A farily painless one at that, so I'm told.
Doc did a "turn your head a cough", some bloodwork, and xrays and said its prolly just something I inherited from my family . He said if it happens again, be worried, but that it could be a 1 time thing. No more blood, only uncomfy down there, so Im alot happer than at noon today. |

Followup: So I spent 4 hours in the ER last night and got some badass meds. I was fine from Thursday night until yesterday (Saturday) at around 8pm and pain came back double time . So, either I passed a small stone Thursday or it was just entering the tube between the kidney and blatter. In any event, CAT scan showed a 3mm stone just about to drop to the blatter. The doc at the ER said once that happens, its smooth sailing, its getting thru that tube from the kidney to the bladder that causes all the pain.
Owwie is all I can say.. until I got some good meds and some vikidin for home. Note to mods: I didn't know quite where to place this thread, but sexuality looked good cause it deals with "down there". |

I have had kidney stones once, and I wanted to rip my back out, because that's where the pain was, I've heard other people describe them as worse than the pain of childbirth....
Hope you are feeling better...

Kidney stones are evil. Getting them from the kidney to the bladder is the worst part, but sometimes that also causes bladder spasms which will make you feel like you've GOT to pee RIGHT NOW< but then you cannot... After a time, that, too, can be incredibly miserable. I've also had them stop while still on the way out from the bladder to the outside world... it's like having a boulder in your willy, and NOT pleasant at all...

I'm not a doctor, but a friend of mine who had a kidneystone says that ever since then he drinks cranberry juice and has never had another problem. He probably has one glass every morning. He drinks Cape Codders (vodka and cranberry juice with or without lime). That's all I got. Hope you feel better.
