I would recommend not going to a movie.
A movie is just two people sitting there, not conversating, in darkness, and then leaving at the end. Mini-golf is a lot of fun and something that will give you plenty of time to talk and get to know each other.

Dates that are fun:
The park Mini-golf (if she is a gamer) ARCADE!!! A movie in which you sit away from most other people and talk about the movie and what happens as it happens on the screen (yep, We're that annoying guy/girl pair). also, if you live near a lake or ocean, those are good places too.

Dancing. First take dance lessons which is fun in itself. Then go to a club and have fun.
Comedy clubs. Even if they suck you can have get a laugh from pocking fun at the comedian. Theater. Contemporary or classical, it can give a nice break from the same old cinema. Gigs – Concerts these days cost $50 per person. Yet there are allot of clubs and bars that have less known bands and the admission is usually just $5-$10. Visits a book store. Just make sure you have something interesting to look for. How about an erotic book for the two of you? If it’s too short a trip go for a coffee after. Consider going hiking or bike riding and bringing a picnic. The fresh air, the sun, love on the grass – cant go wrong. You can go pub hopping – get loaded, wake up with tattoos of each other’s names on your ass cheeks. All in good fun. Explore new and strange neighborhoods. Chances are there are parts of town that you have never been in. Explore them! Go to their restaurants and make sure to act like tourists. Beaches, rivers or nice parks are wonderful. Bring a blanket and some food and even a candle for a nice evening of counting stars. My favorite is still the walk around the neighborhood. Helps if it’s a nice one. |

Oh yeah, Dancing is great.
I live in Austin, TX. Most people know some country songs here, but being that most of them came from Dallas or Houston most dont know how to 2-step. Comin from a small town I've grown to know and love it, teaching women a new dance always a great way to go. Learn some others, I can also Swing/Salsa/Tejhano, you'll always get girls interested if you drop that. Usually the last thing they say to me after I get their numbers is something like "so you're going to teach me to salsa right?". |

Good old amusement park never fails.
If you want something a bit more daring and fun, and you've proceeded to the part of the relationship where you're having sex, go to a golf course at 2 in the morning (or whenever the automatic sprinklers turn on around where you live,) find a flat spot, and run around in your underwear (or naked) and dance under the sprinklers. It's just like what you did as a kid, but this time you're old enough to make the most of the situation |

There is a small shop in my city that has unpainted pottery that you can pick out and paint for a few bucks.
It's an awesome date... girls really dig that stuff. Hell, you can even go to Wal-Mart and buy some plaster models and cheap paint and do it at home. Also, try and find a coffee shop that has singers and small bands that play. The is a place called the Sun Shoppe where I live that does that, and it is an awesome date place. They also have board games that you can play for free. It's a very laidback place and an awesome place to talk and get to know each other.

personally i like the shopping thing. if you live in a big enough city i would hit a couple music shops, listen to some music together. plus there is always music playing in the shop which can make things interesting.
you can always grab a coffee, ice cream, frozen yogurt as you go for a walk outside. |
