Girls, what do you love most about guys?

The "what bothers you most" threads need some positive energy to balance them out.

I love that guys seem not to take most things too seriously. You say something to them, they tend to take it at face value.

With my male friends, I know exactly where I stand with them, it's not phony.

They don't gossip.

They are generally more punctual.

They aren't drama queens.

And they smell so good when freshly showered...

Their deep voices

(oh, and they're really good at carrying heavy objects up stairs)

Eh, guys gossip. Maybe not to the same degree, and we dont specifically call someone just to gossip, but if were just shooting the shit you can see how it makes for good conversation from time to time.

I like the fact that guys (in general- there are exceptions) take the brave caretaker position.

For instance- who will enter a dark room first after hearing a noise- guys. Things like that.

I also love that guys will be the handyman without having to be asked. If something breaks, they will fix it without being asked.

And they smell good, and are nice to cuddle up to.

Hardly as much as women and do, and when guys do gossip its mostly in a joking manner. When girls gossip, things can get downright nasty.

In most cases - unless its about women - when guys have a problem with eachother or are angry at eachother, one fight or a couple of beers later and EVERYTHING is fine between them again and all of that is in the past and almost never brought up again. Guys are a lot less likely to hold grudges in my experience.

I like how they don't hold grudges..if something bothers them they get it out and over with. Now girls can hold a grudge forever.

Some of them are acutually really good listeners. You can tell them anything and know that it will not be repeated 5 min. later when you get off the phone.

They are a lot nicer to us about our bodies then say ourselves or our female friends.

Guys always seem to be warm no matter what.

With most guys, I don't feel like they're constantly trying to impress someone. So many girls just try WAY too hard to look the best, act the best, dress the best. I like just being able to sit back and chill with the guys once in a while. There's so much less competition and tension. They're generally more laid back.

I love the way guys pay attention to the little things you say, and do something amazingly sweet going off of something you probably don't remember saying.

I love the way I can cry on a guy's shoulder and know that no one will bother me.

I love that I can be myself and know that the friendship is genuine.

I love the way their clothes (that I've stolen) still smell like them.

I love hugs from guys, so solid and real.

I love the whole chivalry / gentleman thing. (Because people, not just women, need to be taken care of.)

I love how I can scream at them, then things are ok with us.

I love letting men drive because I have no sense of direction and they never get me lost.

I love their strong hands.

I love their sense of humor.

I love how they can be all strong and macho, but obviously still need the women in their lives.

hehe the ladies have pretty much summed up what I like the most about men but I really like as well that men don't trash-talk about you to their friends if they have a problem with you. They confront you instead

You're not. Most guys make arses out of themselves when they see a hot girl since they go out of their way to impress. I myself have done MANY a stupid thing b/c of a hot girl looking my way...

Doing my part:

I love guys' hands

and broad shoulders

and getting a really good bear hug from a guy who doesn't think you'll break

nestling up on a shoulder with his arm around you

fresh guy sweat smells so good

they're not afraid to show their intelligence

Let's see what woman love most about men?

In the physical aspect.....
I love his hands, the way they feel when they are against my bare skin, so soft and warm and gentle. They way he touches my face with them and holds my hands enfolded in his. I also like his arms, the way he gives me a big hug surrounding me with them as if it is my safehaven. The way he picks me up and gives me a big kiss with his strong and loving arms. But most of all how he holds me tight with them in bed after we have made love and I feel as if there is no other place I would rather be then there with him at that very moment. But to be honest I love every physical feature about him. Without each part of him, he wouldn't be himself which is who I love him for.

As for the non-physical aspects........
I love his personlity the way he can make me and laugh and feel happy as can be, the way he can be serious when I need to talk about something important, the way he can be a friend and just be together and love each other at times. I love everything about his personality. I love how when I look at him I see exactly everything I want in man and how he means everything to me and I wouldn't change anything about him.

So that's it, kinda long but its really how I feel about what I love in a man.

They don't feel the need to constantly talk about their feelings...

Yeah...I was talking more about my guy friends...the ones who don't see me sexually most of the time (as far as I know)...

But...in terms of guys who aren't just my friends...I like to feel their big arms around my body....I like how tough and manly they can be sometimes and yet how sensitive and sweet they can be at other times. I like their deep voices (and if they have an accent, I love that). I love it when they have nice hair that I can run my fingers through. I like knowing they're beside me in bed. I like to hold them. In a weird way, it makes me feel sort of safe and at peace.

YoWhen you find out how untrue that is, you're really going to regret it Sure, we can be good with sense of direction and not get lost, but when we get lost, it's bad. I once ended up at the northern tip of Queens instead of the southern side of Brooklyn ... after a car with three other guys and myself completely failed to notice that we had passed NYC and were, in fact, in northern New Jersey. There's a thread in Members' Playground about that incident tiled "The most Pointless Experience of my life" or somthing like that.

I love how when rubbing a guy's ear, they turn to putty.

I love how whenever I try to lift something that is too heavy, they come to my rescue.

I love the small of their backs- that area just can't get enough rubbin.

This is great, but what about us guys who aren't 6-4 and 260 pounds of muscle? Granted I am strong and not short (very average, puke), but I get the impression that a number of you are referring to men who are very big. I may be wrong though *shrug*

Thats very true.
And it makes me feel good about myself. Because in my eyes, when i'm just chilling i'm definitly not trying to impress anyone. And i'm glad to hear girls like that because chilling is what I do best a lot of the time. I hope girls see that in me.

Every guy I know still has a little bit of the Little Boy left in him and when it comes out he can be sooo much fun. You should see hubby when he gets excited about "playing" with the car and putting a faster engine in it. I can just imagine him with a RC car as a kid, "Oooh Lets put a bottle rocket on the back and see how fast it goes..." I love that child's spirit in a guy. It's so much fun.

That feeling of "protection" is more about attitude than size. Not that you have to walk in front of us with your sward drawn, slaying all the dragons that get in the way, but that you could protect us if you had to, and not hide behind our skirts.

(Now, I'm 5'9 - and was, in my youth, extremely athletic, I am definitely capable of taking care of myself, however... it's nice to know that someone else could)

What I meant was not necessarily size based-- just the whole chivalry thing. And the fact that no matter what your persona, that your woman knows your 'soft' side.

bah... Guys never get lost.. we just like to "explore" there have been many a time that I ended up out of state on accident.. I think it more has to do with how one can keep their head's when they "explore". I have never really worried about finding my way back (except one time when I left late, then got lost and had only 45 minutes to find my way back before class started*grin* but that is a special case!), but there are others (guys and girls, gender doesn't matter here) that freak out.

Once you start to freak out you just make it worse, in my opinion.

nice thread though, thank you ladies for all of your kind words
