Perfect woman vs maid
 

So, what is important? If you have a woman who lives with you and cleans house, she costs more over time than a hired maid. OTOH, you can fuck her. Can't do that with a maid, and probably wouldn't want to anyway.

The problem with a maid is that, since they don't live there, they don't really care about the quality of their work other than the minimal care that gets them paid. I speak from experience as a guy who has hired them.

So, what's important to you, and what are you willing to do? House care where you don't have to commit more than cash, or more than that where you actually have to care about her/him (gotta leave that open for the women who want to hire a male maid too)?

I wouldn't hire a maid. I can clean up after my own damn self :D

I had a maid for a while, because I am a slob, it was great. She'd come in while I was gone, put blue stuff in the toilet, clean up -- and go home.

I hear my male friends bitch about their wives/maids - I paid therese 50 bucks for cleaning-- and she went home -- she never bitched-- my friends wives, bitch that they cleaned the kitchen, made the dinner, blah blah blah, and they are not appreciated blah blah blah.

I think had the better deal.

A wife/husband, to me, is someone who is there to support you in life and who is a partner in your fulfillment. It has nothing to do with cleaning or even helping out with the chores, unless that is contributing to your fulfillment. I clean our house because I like to live in a clean house, not because ratbastid wants me to. Frankly, most times he couldn't care less. If he asks me to do something specific, I do it because it's important to him. I clean D's house for her sometimes when she needs it because it supports her doing other things that fulfill her.

If a wife is just a maid you don't have to pay, you've got trouble!!!

In reality, I'm just deciding that I'm happy as I am. If I got a woman, she'd want me to change all kinds of stuff, betcha. I doubt even the sex would be worth it. I haven't yet found a woman with whom the sex was all that great, so I'm concentrating on the concrete issues: cleaning, money, another source of mess besides me and my cat.

On re-reading that, holy shit am I getting bitter! Think I'll work on that.

if that's the only thing you have your wife for, I'd go with the maid. That way if it's fucking you want, you can bring home different people to fuck all the time

Maids make loose change disappear. So do moving guys (even more so with them.) I don't like people being in my house.

You do realize, of course, that you can find services that provide hooker maids?

View marriage as more of a "holy shit, this world is hard: how about we team up?" and less as a "I get fucked and my laundry gets done".

The classic problem with having a "I get fucked and my laundry gets done" live in would be the obsticles it places in front of finding a "holy shit, this world is hard: how about we team up?" partner.

Maids do not have this problem.

So, I'd vote Maids > "I get fucked and my laundry gets done", and learn to use your hand.
