Building an anti-rebound relationship.
Hey!
This thread is a continuation of a previous post . Background: I recently broke up with a girl I dated for almost two years... well sorta. For the last 3 or 4 months I think I was allready "over" her, just didn't feel secure enough to actually make it final. Anyways, very soon after we made our seperation "offical", I met another girl. I thought it would take me along time to get over the first girlfriend, but it didn't. I felt good about it within a few days. I don't think I'm using the other girl to feel better, because I was feelin' pretty good before I started to hang out with the new girl more. I wasn't even considering dating again, and deffently wasn't looking. We met somewhat by chance. Question. This new girl I've met is amazing. When I talk to her (and her to me, it's not just one-way) it's like I'm talking to myself because we feel the same and have the same opinions about nearly everything. And... she's incredibly cute. So... do ya'll think I'm ready to get close to someone again? I feel like I am but I've never been in this sitution before and hope to draw on ya'lls experience. THANKS |

the so called rebound girl is made up to allow guys to go out and have pointless sex after a break up. tbh i don't see why not its just that society has create a requirement that rebounds are essiental after a break up. If she makes you buzz dude then its worth going after

That's what she said

obviously you're over your ex, which means you're ready to move on and find someone else special... and since you already have that covered, you're good to go.
as spidey said, the rebound girl is not a requirement... and is typically a strategy that people employ when they can't get over their ex, and since that doesn't apply to you, don't worry about it. good luck.
