How can my wife increase her sex drive?
 

My wife thinks her birth control kas killed her sex drive. Now, besides the obvious options of switching or ditching the pills, how can she increase her sex drive? Oh, and I don't mean by any of the junk e-mail "herbal solutions". I mean real methods.

Has she ever tried watching porn with you? I always get really horny watching porn or even just reading about really steamy sex.

Whenever I've had trouble getting into sex it's usually stress related, but I have heard that some women have trouble on the pill. Did she just start on them or has it been a few months/years? If she's not new to it, then it might be more psychological.

If she's noticed this as a result of the pill she's on, have her talk to her doctor, he/she can probably switch to some other brand.

u r better of getting fixed just kidding or using the condom - that way the hormones from the pill dont interfere with here natural cycle. I found my wife is more amorous when off the pill than on. good luck

Obviously what you need to do is consult your doctor. For a while my wife had no libido(sp?), and the doctor perscribed a steriod cream that worked wonders.

Well absorbentishe, that probably is going to be the best course. She's switched pills once already, and the transition time made her afraid that she'd get pregnant. So, it would probably be less stressful to just quit the pill altogether and just use condoms (sadly).

Really??? Well, I don't think she's into it, but it would definitely send my sex drive through the roof!!!!

Condoms suck, but you got to do what you got to do. I got plumbing shut off, but that's after we had kids.

Switching pills is a pain in the ass, but sometimes trying several is the way to go.

My girl was having a similar problem and switched to the patch and her drive has increased 10 fold.

I used to have that problem with the pill i was on before i switched to a new one. Basiclly, I just had to force myself to put up with extra foreplay until I finally got in the mood (which didn't always happen).

Is that the only change in your lives?

You could assume it is the pill and it's something else. First of all, be sure not to pressure her. Also, be playful again. Walk up to her after work, give her a really nice kiss - slow, wet, and a strong embrace. Then, smile and walk away. Scratch her back when she goes to sleep. Stroke her thighs to wake her up. Send her flowers spontaneously. Write her sexy notes on her mirror (if you can).

Basically, turn up the sex by turning up the romance.

Some of you have the most unreal suggestions. Getting a girlfriend and watching porn are not solutions for a low sexdrive to the majority of people outside this website. I think we forget sometimes that most of the people who come here are very comfortable in their sexuality and not necessarily representative of the overall population.

exactly!!! How do you get girl...uninterested in sex to sit down and watch porn?? Come on...these are not real useable suggestions. I vouch for the going to the doctor and explaining the situation. I am suffering through this right now with my gf...she doesn't think anything is wrong....but once every 2 months is not cool! I got laid more when I was single!

There's a BIG difference between "uninterested in sex" and "lost sex drive". We're talking about a chemically-induced removal of her urges. From what I understand, her brain says she wants to have sex, but her body isn't responding.

I still think another change in pills is in order. No use taking birth control if you don't want sex...

What, no one ever told you about the controls for this kinda thing on a woman? Yeah, they've been there the whole time, right there. Look on her breasts. You see those things? They try to tell ya that they're called "nipples", but they're really a volume control and a horniness control. Which is which? You'll have to figure that out on your own.

Try it. Twist one and see if her volume goes up or down. Twist the other one, and see what it does to her libedo! I'm tellin' ya, these things are the way.
